"I called Jerry on a Saturday. Jerry worked with me and gave me a solution until he could get the part on Monday to avoid me paying twice for a problem he was able to diagnose on the phone. Very professional and helpful. Jerry always seems all about the customer and finding solutions when they are in a bind. When my pressure tank failed I was on the phone with him Off and on for about an hour. Jerry was patient and professional. His son replaces the pressure tank and was just as professional. $600ish for the pump install and was $345 parts and labor for the pressure tank install"

"<p>Great - called and owner, Kirk,  called back that same day. Explained  what he offered and quoted the above price which is exactly what he charged. Kirk and his assistant Tim came about one week later, arrived promptly, & were very professional.  Cleaned up area when he was finished and installed a great system. We are very, very, pleased. Kirk explained how to work the system and how to maintain it. My husband & I are extremely happy with this new system as the water is really horrible down here.</p> <p>Thank you !!</p> <br />"

"I reached out to J&L first thing in the morning after my well pump stopped working. He was able to come out within a few hours and quickly diagnosed my problem as a problem in the electric breaker that I had tripped the night before. I had him perform some other maintenance while he was there. Responsive, honest and reliable. I would hire again."

"Frank the father was honest and informative when I initially called. His son Kenneth checked the site for estimate. They did not call to let me know the status of application or permits or schedule, but when I called after ten days there was clear answer. Two young men did the project. I watched the operation and asked if the ground needed to be compacted to prevent future settlement. The response was no, "we have always done it this way" with no problems!!! When they were ready to connect to the existing d-box I noticed a lot of soil debris at the inlet and asked it should be cleaned before connecting. I got a very rude, impolite, unprofessional response from one of the workers basically implying that I it's not their responsibility and that I've been interfering with their job. When I asked him to stop work till I resolve the problem with the office, he ignored me and made the bad connection on his own discretion. When I finally talked to Frank his response was that the contract is for septic replacement only with no d-box involvement. Frank was correct about the contract but I let the reader be the judge. Was the forced dirty connection to the inlet full of sand in any way professional and/or ethical?  <br />"

"After having bad experiences with two other companies, I wasn't holding out much hope that things would be any better with this company. Was I pleasantly surprised! They were very accommodating in scheduling an appointment that fit my schedule. On the scheduled day they were on time. They checked my entire sprinkler system, fixed several issues, programmed the system, and took the time to explain what they did. And, the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend."

"Leaving for work one day I entered the garage to find that the hot water tank had started leaking. I did a quick search on Angi's list and found good reviews for GW Plumbing. By 11 that morning he had someone at my house to replace the pump. I was concerned I was going to be without water for the weekend and REALLY appreciated their SUPER FAST response. After the install the service man wrote the invoice and while I thought it was a little high I was just glad to have it done quickly and I could get back to my life. About a week later I got a letter from GW Plumbing with a check from them. They had found a math error on the invoice and WITHOUT me prompting them sent me a refund for the correction. WOW!!!! I was sooo impressed!"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Orlando, FL

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
