"Caleb installed an EV charging station - which also required an upgrade to my antique electrical panel. I was very happy with the work that was done and at a reasonable price (compared to other bids I received). I will definitely be using The Plug Electrical company for future electrical work."

"Raul and Hector were awesome. Not only were they fast and efficient they were also very honest, nice, and professional. I would highly recommend them for any of your electrical needs. They did a panel upgrade for me along with adding outlets in my garage. Also they hooked up a hot tub connection with shut off. They are really great guys and I would definitely trust them with my house keys when me or my wife are not home. You can't go wrong hiring these guys to do the work you need. I wish more people and companies were like Raul and Hector. Lat/Long electrical is the way to go!!"

"Stephen Oakridge was amazing to work with. He originally came out and gave me an estimate on an electrical problem. I was having with a lost phase in my house. The original estimate he gave me we found out the parts were no longer available and discontinued so we had to do a complete upgrade on my electrical panel. Steve not only did his best to honor the quote. He gave me originally but stuck to it almost to a minor charges upgrade when others were blowing me outrageous numbers.. Steve is a prime example of a great customer service and care is all about I highly recommend him to anybody looking for electrical services in the area. His prices were beyond fair. His communication was excellent and he was always on time. The quality of his work is top-notch. He was working in a very tight area and had no problems getting the new box mounted and looking great and fixing the electrical problems in my house. Hands-down, one of the best experiences Iâ ve had with the contractor in a long time! I highly recommend reaching out to him for any of your electrical needs!"

"Very honest assessment of what I should upgrade for electrical panel replacement. Gave me options without a sales pitch to upgrade to latest and greatest. Pricing was in line with other quotes I received but they won my business because we had more of a conversation around what I actually needed for my specific home. I would recommend getting at least a quote from them."

"He found the problem on the electrical panel. He fixed it temporarily and gave me an estimate to replace the power panel. They did not charge me for it. He got my lights working. No charge. "

"I discovered the old knob-and-tube wiring in my house was actually burning, and Austin from VoltPro Electric got to work immediately. He removed all of the knob-and-tube wiring and completed a full rewire in a very clean and well-organized way. The work was done in sections so my child and I could continue living in the house comfortably while everything was being upgraded. Austin kept everything neat and professional and finished the entire job in just one week. The total cost was only $10,000, and VoltPro Electric offered easy financing which made the project affordable for me. The house feels safe again and the work looks excellent. I truly wish I could give VoltPro Electric more than 5 stars. Highly recommend."

"I had wiring run and my electrical panel updated, and I couldn’t be happier with the work. The electrician was professional, on time, and explained everything clearly. The job was done right the first time, and the workmanship was excellent. You can tell he takes pride in his work. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing electrical work done."

"Well They identified the issue was due to improper electrical work performed by an electrician recommended through Home Advisor. The work performed was incorrect and the proper voltage was not going to the HVAC or dryer---120 was pushed to these units versus 220. Plus we found the work performed by the previous company was outside of code. Anthony provided the solutions and I am happy to say pleased with the options provided to correct the situation. I would highly recommend them for heating, cooling, plumbing or electrical work. They are excellent and very professional"

FAQs for electrical wiring or panel upgrade projects in Raymore, MO

While homeowners with substantial electrical knowledge might technically attempt a subpanel installation, most local building departments require permits and inspections for this type of work. Professional electricians understand local code requirements, can obtain necessary permits, and ensure the installation meets safety standards. Given the significant safety risks associated with incorrect electrical work, most homeowners benefit from hiring a licensed professional.

A standard subpanel installation takes an average of four to eight hours. This timeframe may extend if you're installing multiple subpanels or adding specialized circuits like those for spa equipment. Factors such as difficult access points, complex wiring paths, or permit processing times can also affect the overall project duration.

Adding a subpanel doesn't directly reduce electricity consumption or lower your utility bills. A subpanel simply redistributes power from your main panel to additional circuits. However, organizing your electrical system more efficiently may help prevent overloaded circuits and the associated problems. For actual cost savings, consider energy-efficient appliances and lighting instead.

The appropriate subpanel size depends on your specific electrical requirements. Consider the number and type of devices you'll be powering, potential future needs, and the capacity of your main electrical panel. An electrician can perform a load calculation to determine the most suitable amperage rating for your situation, ensuring you have adequate power without overpaying for unnecessary capacity.

A main electrical panel connects directly to your utility's power supply and contains your home's primary service disconnect. It distributes electricity throughout your entire house. A subpanel, by contrast, receives power from the main panel and redistributes it to a specific area of your home. Think of the main panel as the primary distribution point and the subpanel as a secondary branch that extends your electrical system's reach.

While electrical upgrades aren't as immediately visible as kitchen or bathroom renovations, they can contribute to your home's functionality and safety. Prospective buyers often appreciate updated electrical systems that can accommodate modern power demands. A properly installed subpanel that provides additional capacity for workshops, home offices, or future expansions could be an attractive feature for certain buyers, though the direct impact on home value varies by market.
