"We needed a minor roof repair- flashing needed to be nailed down and I spent all day yesterday calling around and begging handymen and roofing contractors to come over and take a look, no luck at all. Either all were booked out until next Spring or the job was not worth their time and effort to come out. I called Buck with Eagle Siding headquartered in Burnsville and he offered to come out within the hour and take care of the repair. WOW, just wow...he came out, nailed the sucker down and made additional minor repairs as well. His charge was very fair for a simple job, but I would not hesitate to refer them or call them back if we had siding or roofing issues in the future. "Chase from Excel Renovation was great to work with regarding our residential garage roof leak. He was very personable and there was excellent/ professional communication in talking through the potential issue and then scheduling a time to meet. Chase ended up starting with a simpler repair approach first, re-fastening and re-sealing a roof flashing, which we agreed was the right thing to do for our type of roof leak (very small leak) and for this cold time of year (late Nov). He was very honest in what he thought was the likely issue and digging deeper right away in our case, instead of just resealing and testing first, may cause more harm than good. He would not take any money for the repair…I tried though. :-) He said to keep an eye on it during the upcoming rain and snow melt(s) and he could always dig deeper if needed in the spring, removing interior sheetrock and then applying water with a hose over suspected area on the roof. If you’re looking for an honest company that won’t steer you wrong, give these guys a call. I highly recommend this company and I would definitely work with them again!"

His is a family business -- his son will be the third generation. I recommend Harry highly and would certainly hire him again. Edit: I have called on Harry for cedar shake roof repairs twice within the span of a few weeks, because after the first repair, we had a storm that caused additional damage. And the storm hit just before the closing of the sale of my house. Harry came out promptly and told me it is too bad all the damage did not happen at once so that he could have fixed it all in one go and save me money. His team proceeded to make the repairs, which took a few hours, and at end of the day handed me an invoice that was reasonable and did not take advantage of the time constraint I faced to get the roof repaired. "I was in a rather unique situation in that my insurance company told me that I had to get a new root, at my expense, or they would no longer cover our home. The roof was 25 years old but we had no problems with it. Needless to say, it was an unexpected expense during times with things are financially getting harder. I turned to Angie's list and found Higgins Construction. <br /> <br /> From the beginning Mike was very professional and did everything that he said he would do when he said he would do it. Mike came out to my home for an estimate the first day I called. I told him of the other quotes I had received and he offered a very competitive price. The quote was for 3-tab asphalt shingles, due to the fact that I was trying to get the job done for the least amount of money, without compromising my home. He offered to due lifetime architectural shingles for an extra $100. I signed the contract on that deal because I realized how good a deal it was for the total price being charged. When the workers showed up they arrived before 7:00 am and were done around 5:00 pm.  They were fast, focused and personal. They cleaned up well, spared the flowers and shrubs, picked up all the nails and cleaned up as if they were never there. I was really pleased to have such a great job done at such a  low price. Everyone I talk , who knows about roofing cost, said I got a great deal. <br /> <br /> In light of that, I highly recommend Higgins Construction for anyone who is looking for good work, professional, at a reasonable price."

"I couldn’t be happier. They presented written contracts to protect me, the homeowner, not just them. The contract clearly outline payment schedules and roofing material used (brand, type, and colors). They worked with our insurance company and pointed out things the insurance inspector did not take into consideration. Pro Custom Builders filed for the permits and are licensed and insured. They have the right tools and safety equipment. The roofers were experienced. We are very satisfied with the work. Even though, they did a good job cleaning up afterwards. The next day, a different person came out to check the yard, again, looking for nails. It is great to have a perfectly done roof."
