"I pretty much never write online reviews, but I was so pleasantly surprised by Proven Termite Solutions that I would like to recommend them. Their prices are competitive and their customer service is excellent. <br /> I saw evidence of termites in multiple areas of my house, and I suspected that I would need to get the place tented. I reached out to PTS based on Angie's List recommendations, and Jim came out for an inspection. He was very polite and professional, and confirmed my suspicions that tenting was the best way to go. He answered all my questions and gave me a written estimate on the spot. After that, I reached out to two additional companies - one based on Angie's List recommendations and another based on the recommendation of a friend. Both companies sent out agents to inspect the house, but after that, communications dropped off with both. I finally got a quote from the second company (for hundreds of dollars more than PTS), and the third company never even responded to me. <br /> I scheduled my fumigation with PTS, and in the days leading up to the service, Jim and Chris kept me in the loop about what needed to be done and were very responsive to all my additional questions. I decided to hand off my keys personally on the day of  the tenting. The crew was very polite and took care not to damage any of my rosebushes. After the fumigation, I was really surprised and happy to see that the crew put back some mulch and rocks that we had moved away from the house in preparation for the tenting and also closed all the doors and drawers we had opened. <br /> Fumigation is an annoying process, but PTS made it as painless as possible. <br /> <br /> <br />"

In the process he found that there were rotting wood underneath my bathrooms due to a leak. He took lots of pictures to show the condition of the wood. After canvassing several other termite control companies I decided to go with them based on the thoroughness of their inspection and the treatment and repairs of the affected wood. One was to do a cursory inspection and offer what is essentially an insurance policy. Another did a better inspection and offered spot treatment and a 3 year warranty. Pacific Coast did a thorough inspection and offered either spot treatments to the obviously infested areas or comprehensive preventative maintenance treatment in addition to the spot treatments. The cost is more expensive than the other companies but the employees inspire confidence in their work."
