"We received an estimate for excavating at the point of the break and replacing about 4 feet of sewer line.  They discovered that the house had settled and a direct reconnection would result in insufficient downward slope to the city sewer line in the street.  They e-mailed us an estimate of the additional cost with an itemization of the additional work to be done.  It required still more excavation to successfully connect the line, but again they gave us an itemization of the work and estimate of the additional cost.  The crew worked hard and long hours to complete the job -- always polite and friendly.  Overall we were very pleased with their professionalism and willingness to proceed with the project in increments rather than give a very high estimate just to be sure to cover their costs.

I felt the price was reasonable and pretty close to the price I thought it would cost. The job was done at the agreed upon estimate quote price, no additional cost after the fact. "Right before Thanksgiving we detected a leak from our upstairs toilet between our floors; and our dishwasher died. I contacted AWP through their web site; the response and scheduling were prompt. Vlad showed up on time, listened, understood the issue, explained what he was going to do then carefully fixed it. Later that day, the Home Depot crew came in to install our new dishwasher and could not complete the job. Vlad was back later that day - on a Friday - and took charge. As calm and unflappable as the first time he took care of doing everything just right. I would definitely hire AWP again. Very few professionals I have dealt with project and deliver such peace of mind."

"Vortex Plumbing did a great job! It was quite an extensive process. It takes days to re-pipe a whole house and I was expecting to be without running water for a few of those. Baldeep did his best to make our inconvenience as little as possible. He and his crew did as much preparation as possible and only had to turn off our water for about 3 hours during the whole process. Vortex Plumbing is a professional and honest company and I would use them again in the future."

"Overall, the quality of the work was excellent.  However, the issue I had was in regards to communication and responsiveness. I originally submitted a request for info via their website and received no response until I called 3 or 4 days later.  Christopher came out within a day and scoped the work to be done and indicated he would submit a bid within a day or two.  A week later I had to call because I had not received a bid.  The response I received was that Christopher would work it that night.  I did receive a bid the following day.  I received an email indicating when work would start and the worker arrived promptly.  The extent of the water damage was greater than originally thought which increased the scope of work.  I talked to Christopher that day and he explained that he would have to re-bid and would likely schedule the work when a team of people could work the job.  It again took a week before I heard from Christopher again and that was after I called to inquire on status.  We got rescheduled two and a half weeks later (the work separate from the water damage was also pushed out two and a half weeks).  We were told that it was a 3 day job and work commenced on a Monday but didn't finish until the following Tuesday (they don't work weekends and the Monday was a holiday).  During this time, there was a miscommunication on how material was to be purchased as I believed that this was part of the estimate but I ended up having to provide my credit card number to the lumber store to purchase materials.  Although the quality of work was excellent, I don't plan on using Christopher and Company again due to the numerous issues I had with communication and their overall responsiveness.
