"<p>Where to begin....the short review: My husband and I highly recommend Alamo Exteriors! They do exceptional work and their entire team is very easy to work with and very professional. </p> <p>The details: We spent a lot of time trying to analyze whether to put money into our existing home or sell it and start fresh and buy a newer home. We finally decided to remodel our home. We received about 4 or 5 quotes from various siding companies. They all had their stories to tell about what they could do for us and what it would cost us. We decided to go with Mark Belto and Alamo Exteriors. Mark explained in great detail the process by which they would install the new windows, siding, and our new screened-in patio. He wasn?t the least expensive, but he wasn?t the most either. Mark was always very polite, informative, and always accessible. He even gave us his cell number and would stay in touch with us, even over holiday weekends. He came by the house regularly to check on the progress and would call us to keep us informed of the progress. He has a keen eye for detail and always made sure our requests were dealt with, and always with a sense of urgency. In addition, all of his workers that we met were extremely polite, responsive, and easy to talk to. I was impressed by the way Mark talked to his workers as well. They all love him. He never talked down to them, but spoke with each of them as an equal when explaining what he wanted from them. They are a great team! It seemed that even with our minds made up before they began, my husband and I kept throwing little changes at them. They handled every request with grace and were very accommodating. I?ve always heard that remodeling jobs take their toll on couples but I have to say that this was the best experience I?ve ever had. They handled our home as if it were their own. They did a magnificent job! I would recommend them to anyone and I would use them over and over again! I can honestly say that we did not have one single ?encounter? during the entire makeover. They are THE BEST!</p> <br />"

"Permian Basin Exteriors is an excellent company to do business with. Their knowledge helps the customer to make wise decisions and they are very personable. Permian Basin Exteriors uses their time wisely and gets on the job quickly and is just as quick to finish a job, large or small. Their prices were reasonable and they did everything that was asked of them and more. I wish everyone that ran a business was as easy to deal with as Permian Basin Exteriors and Isaac Redecop and his son. They put a metal roof on for us and will return later to install new windows. They started promptly, did the job, cleaned up and were gone. Thanks to Permian Basin Exteriors."

"Jason, Mike, Enrique and all of the sub-contractors did a magnificent job on an extremely challenging remodel. Our teenage son has significant disabilities which required extensive overhauling of the existing home structure to accommodate his increasing size and weight. Much of the work Jason and the crew accomplished had never been attempted in a residential structure before. The site supervisor, Enrique, did an outstanding job of keeping the remodel on-time and maintaining a clean and orderly work site. We were able to remain in our home for the vast majority of the job, with minimal impact on our daily lives. In the several months since the work was completed, our son's and family's quality of life have greatly improved due to the modifications made and the high quality of the work done. <br />"

"They're our home warranty people. We've had to use them several times on minor plumbing issues. It was excellent. It was pretty close to the water softener and the water heater. They were fast, prompt and courteous. They're knowledgeable on what they need to do and get it done quickly."

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there. We extend our sincere thanks to the team at RetractableAwnings.com, and for those review sites that accept photographs, we include the following photo."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Texarkana, TX

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
