"I contacted Steve's pump service on Monday 1/19/15 and service man came out on Tuesday, removed the pump from underneath my home, and took it back to his shop to troubleshoot the problem.  I received a call Tuesday afternoon telling me the  pump was split open and needed to be replaced.  When I came home from work Wednesday, the job was done, and the new pump worked great.  Steve's pump service was fast and professional.  I'd recommend them to anyone. <br />"

"When the crew arrived on time, they told me that they looked up the county records and said that the well was placed in 1994 and that the pump was original. They said that they will virtually be doing the same labor in replacing pipes to install the manual pump system to hand pump my well that I should have the old pump replaced at the same time. They had the foresight to have loaded the truck with a new pump and all necessary parts. I feared the old pump would fail and they made sense to me. I greatly appreciated them discounting the normal labor for installing the new pump since they were doing virtually the same work already. I was saved several thousand dollars and got a new needed pump and pipes at the same time! I have had them work on our well before and they have always been professional and timely. We live in a mountain community and they are the go too well folks up here in our little community of 90 homes."

"Derek arrived on time, was cordial, and was very respectful of our home. He even took off his shoes at the door! He figured out a way to fix the problem without replacing the valve which would have been quite expensive. It was a fair price for good work from a good person. Would definitely use them again."

"My house is from 1905; finding professionals with experience on old houses is difficult. I have used DeTemple twice now with great outcomes. Glenn Vance was able to quickly assess the situation, understand the functioning of a older system, provide thoughtful insight, and make the repairs quickly. His experience gave me complete confidence immediately. I can. recommend DeTemple, specifically Glenn without reservation <br />"

"The pump went out on a Saturday night--we contacted him Sunday morning and he was at our house by 9 am. He didn't charge us for coming out to look at the situation. He helped us get water to our house from a neighbor's so we had water until he could get out with his truck (weather was terrible). He was back by Tuesday to do the job. Overall, it was miserable work getting his giant crane truck across our muddy pasture (we had to go through a neighbor's fence), putting down sheets of plywood to keep the truck from sinking, but he got it done. (The blue barrel in the picture covers our pump housing). He is very honest and straightforward. It was a huge unexpected expenditure, but he was very patient and helped us make the best decisions."

"Great! I was taking a shower and the water stopped. It was during all that very cold weather. My husband had just left for the weekend and I was very worried it was going to be something much worse than it was. My husband kindly turned around and came home and removed the housing around the pump (which had rotted away right about where the problem was) and defrosted the frozen pipes that we could see with his propane heater. Knowing that many people were probably experiencing similar problems, we assumed nobody would be able to come out to our house that day, nor would it be reasonably priced. Well HPS said they could be there by 8 or 9pm. They arrived around 6pm. It was dark. They worked quickly, were polite, and put things back together as best as possible & told me to go get electrical tape the next day. Best of all, it didn't cost a fortune!"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Welches, OR

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
