They talked a good game, charged me good money, and did absolutely nothing to solve my problem. I did not know how bad they were until I called Advanced Pest Control who were excellent in every way. Jessie came out to the house, and in 5 minutes told me more about mice and how to get rid of them than the last company did in two visits. He did an extremely thorough inspection around the entire perimeter of the house indicating possible entry points and, where possible, sealing up or alleviating the issue. He asked me a ton of questions about our home and yard, and provided me a wealth of knowledge, including tips on maintaining the yard to discourage mice. After the inspection, he set traps and bait stations, told me what to look for, and how to clean up the mess the mice had made in my basement. After the initial visit and a couple of follow ups to determine progress, there is zero evidence of any additional mice in the house now going on two years, which is pretty amazing considering how easily they were entering previously. Jessie has since advised that we likely don't even need an annual check up given the lack of evidence now for two years (although I will continue to have him do regular checkups). The price for the initial inspection and treatments and follow up visits were far below the previous company I used. It also helps that Jessie is a great guy, fun to talk to, and is more than willing to impart his extensive knowledge. His office staff are also great and very helpful. I would recommend Advance Pest Control as highly as any contractor I have used in the 10 years I have been in my home"

"I was hearing noises in my attic, sounding like something larger than a mouse. Steve Lathrop was one of the three names given to me by the Department of Environmental Protection for licensed wildlife control folks in Manchester. I called him on a Wednesday, and he returned my call within an hour. He could have met me at the house the next day, but I wasn't available until Friday. He arrived promptly on Friday and set about doing a very thorough inspection of the outside of the house (despite it being a rainy, windy day) and the entire inside of the house, especially the attic and basement. He pointed out a few areas that might be susceptible to wildlife entry and made suggestions on how I might close them up most effectively. He identified the most likely entry point for what he suspected to be a squirrel or squirrels at the edge of the porch roof. He recommended setting traps to allow the squirrel(s) to get out but not get back in, and suggested leaving this in place for a few days to make sure all the critters were out before he closed up the hole. <br /> Between the inspection and setting up the traps, he spent about three hours that first day. He returned periodically over the next few days to check on the traps, and then, after a few days, he closed up the hole with some aluminum flashing. He also fixed some other problem areas along the porch roof line to prevent future squirrel problems, working another couple of hours. <br /> Steve Lathrop was very professional. He explained everything he planned to do and how much it would cost in advance. I would definitely use his services again!"
