"I am amending my review after subsequent contact with Basement Systems. Ultimately I am satisfied with the work they finally did, Kathy from the office is very sweet and the work done by Dale was ultimately done although there was much confusion since I was never called or emailed to let me know that the work was complete (it is a weekend property and we were not present- which makes it challenging to schedule with providers). I do wish they did a better job with communication since this was the main issue (not hearing from them when they were not able to come for an appt or not hearing that they were coming to do the job!) I will say that despite my frustration, I do think the work was done well, Dale assessed another concern or ours unrelated to this job, and will be coming back to further assess and provide an estimate if need be, and Dale even closed a garage door that was left open by another service provider which was much appreciated. So I certainly would do business with them again and am pleased with the final outcome. But for the sake of completion, below is my original review.  

Prior review:
Was initially very pleased with prompt initial response and visit from Dale for free estimate. He came on 9/16 as scheduled, was very likable, friendly and informative and spent much of time surveying house and property and providing recommendations as to how to best address leak in basement and buried drainage pipes on the property of our newly purchased home. Was told he would email estimate within week. Dale made such a good impression that I was surprised that I did not receive the estimate within a week. I called 2 weeks later to remind them to provide estimate which should have been my first clue that things would not proceed smoothly.
Had difficulty getting work scheduled which was to be approx 4 hours of labor for 2 men. Not totally their fault as we are weekenders and could only be there for thurs/friday/saturday dates, so I can appreciate that scheduling might be difficult, but still frustrated that work was scheduled for a friday 2 months later. Was called a few hours before appt and told that someone was sick and they could not do job. Was not called back when I asked to reschedule. When I finally reached Kathy who works in the office was told that Dale would come personally the following Monday and do the work himself. Needless to say he never did and I never heard from anyone from the company since then. Wasted nearly 3 months of our time and left at square one. Thanks for nothing. Extremely disappointed with lack of professionalism and surprised that this company has such high ratings."

"DiDi and Anthony did a wonderful job. They were prompt, clean and neat, and always came when they said they would. They did a wonderful job repointing stones and also fixing an area of concrete. After they were finished and paid, I noticed a slight area that needed fixing..... they immediately came back and corrected it. Would definitely recommend them"

"The consultation went great. Cary came out and spent about an hour measuring and evaluating our basement. He left me with a quote the same day as well as my options. Although a little pricey we decided to go for it. The guys came out a few weeks later to insulate and were here all day. No issues there. However, the basement has not warmed up since and we spent quite a bit of money and were told it would be about 60-65° down there. It only increased by maybe 5° and still isn’t even close to 60/65°. I emailed the guy Cary who came out and was told he’d talk to his guys about it. No response. I had to follow up. Then he said he’d send someone out. Never got a call or anything to schedule it. Again I had to reach out. Weeks later he finally said he’d come out on 3/18/21 at noon. It’s now almost 1pm and he’s still not here. Their service was great when they wanted our money but now that we have paid, it seems we are not longer a priority and they don’t care to come fix whatever the problem may be. Very disappointing. We spent thousands of dollars and our basement still feels very cold!"

"Mohammed was in constant communication with me to prepare for our appointment for brick mortar repair. He was polite and respectful. He was sure to ask me if I wanted any additional areas repaired, to which he agreed to repair. He and his co-worker were respectful of my property and cleaned up after themselves."

"The gentleman who came to my home were absolutely great! Explained everything and made sure I was happy with the work every step of the way. I was nervous in the beginning but my fear subsided after Robert Charlesworth, Marcelo largo, Isaiah belcher and Johnathon Lopez made for a great experience. The attention to detail and dust control, tapping off areas they felt I wouldn’t want getting dusty exceeded my expectations! Thank you for your hard work and kindness. "This was a great company needed to grade and prepare a shed site with a foundation. Shawn came out right away for an estimate and cleared the schedule so that the job could be done quickly. All the work was done in one day and the workers were polite and hard working. When they were done they cleaned up the site and Shawn took a minute to explain everything that they did. This was the easiest project I have ever seen a company tackle so flawlessly. I canâ t wait for my next project so that I can hire them again."

"Steve Tart (the son from Steve and Sons) returned my initial call quickly and came out to give me an estimate as requested. I was on a tight time frame because I am leaving the area and wanted to take care of this work beforehand so I won't have to worry. Once I decided to hire him, he went out of his way to schedule my small project - replacing the horrifically leaky downspout and cleaning the gutter. He came out when he promised, with all the required materials and tools. My dow spout is now complete and the work was done beautifully! I'm actually hoping for a storm so I can "see" how well it works! Steve is personable, easy to work with, and does great work. I couldn't ask for more! He is now officially my go to guy for any future work or any issues that crop up."
