"This small company has skilled craftsmen that pay attention to detail that I would never thought of -- like transition pieces, installing quarter-round with caulking, special pieces around the fireplace, etc. They are hard workers and deal with floor suppliers locally. In my case they had to tear out ceramic tile before laying a new laminate floor, and it was done efficiently in spite of the "mess" required. I recommend them!"

"Chuck promptly scheduled time for an estimate. Estimate was given the same day of the appointment. He suggested the windows could be repaired rather than replaced - while other companies had suggested replacing. This ended up saving us quite a bit of money. He quickly answered any questions we had concerning the estimate. Once contract was signed, work started the very next day. Workers arrived promptly and worked diligently to get the job done. The final price was the estimate - no surprises. Would highly recommend."

"Roger and his helper came to give me an estimate, I thought. His price was great and he could do the job right then! The work performed was a high quality, they did an excellent job and really cared about the quality of their work and my satisfaction. I put Front Row Granite in my contacts so that when I get ready to redo our master bathroom I will call them. I recommend."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
