"Danny took on our project, which was to build a home on an oddly-shaped, canyon side lot. We hired him as he had experience building on hillsides as well as with working with our architect. Ours was a very difficult project; from Coastal Commission to City approval, as well as with structural engineering. Danny had a plan for how to access and install our caissons into the hillside from day one. Not only that, his crew and sub-contractors showed up everyday, on-time for our year and a 1/2 building period. We communicated nearly every day via text or phone calls; Danny and his supervisor Scott were always VERY responsive. They were also open to alternate ideas in order to cut down construction costs. We've now been in our new home one year, and can honestly say that we are very happy with the craftsmanship and quality of our home. Moreover, the few small issues that we have had (garage door opener; low water pressure), Danny has continued to be responsive and to send his team back out to assist us over this past year. Overall, DM Building is an honest and earnest group of builders who only want the best for your project. "King Remodeling is the best - best quality and best to work with! Ilan and every member of his crew are not only very skilled and professional, but polite, personable and responsive to any question I might have. And they are fastidious about cleaning up every night, which I appreciate, as well as kind to my sometimes overly friendly dog. I had a vision of what I wanted, which involved removal of a closet. Several companies I met with started their conversation with reasons why complete removal might not be possible and that, if load bearing, there could be significant cost above the quote provided. In contrast, in my first meeting with Ilan, he started with an explanation of how he would solve any potential load bearing issues and provided a fixed upfront cost comparable to other “starting price” quotes I had received. Ilan’s quote also included custom cabinets, custom countertops and tile backsplash, compared to stock cabinets, pre-fab countertops and no backsplash included in other quotes. So getting exactly what I wanted AND higher quality for the same price or less? It was a no brainer. Extra bonus is that Ilan instantly became a friend, He truly cares about his clients both as clients and as individuals. Although every situation will be different (because these guys are busy!), I was fortunate enough to have design start immediately and actual construction at my house start within a few weeks after signing a contract. Even in the midst of COVID-19 supply backups, because of Ilan’s connections and guidance, my new kitchen will be completed in about a week, less than two months after entering into contract. I am so grateful and excited! Ilan offered input based on his decades of experience, helping me select design features, as well appliances and fixtures that would both fit my budget and maximize enhancement of the finished project. But he also listened to and respected my opinions and preferences, even the few times they were off sync with his. Much thought was put into a design that would work best for me, NOT what would be easiest or the most profitable for the company. As the project progressed and I thought of tweaks and/or additional work I would like (such as relaying floors I had inexpertly installed), the response was always “no problem.” I doubt very many remodels are completed without a couple of bumps in the road. Mine is no exception. But Ilan excels at problem solving and his amazing crew excels at implementing. Each issue encountered was taken in stride and resolved with grace and a smile. When prior poor workmanship and construction defects were discovered along the way, it was a given that those issues would also be remedied and upgraded to ensure a perfect end product. If you are thinking about a remodeling job, big or small, it is an understatement to say that I highly recommend King Remodeling. They are beyond fantastic!!"

"First project: I am very pleased with Repairs & Remodels On Demand (RROD). I was in the process of selling a property that was about 75 years old. The buyer's mortgage company had sent an inspector who noted several issues. Obviously I was under time pressure. RROD responded very quickly. I needed a hearth built in front of an existing fireplace. RROD advised me on what the current code requirements were. I selected material and the hearth was installed the next day. The inspector also reported six electrical issues, four plumbing issues in the kitchen and four in the bathroom. RROD repaired them all in two days. RROD sent a three man team. The timeline for the project was: Day 1, evaluate job and create estimate; Day 2, install hearth, correct electrical issues and begin plumbing work; Day 3, complete plumbing. On the fourth day I notified the buyer's agent to schedule the re-inspection; the inspection passed with no problems. Sale completed. Second project: In a rental property I own, a tenant wanted a laundry area. I had had the area plumbed but the walls had been opened to accomplish the plumbing. I needed the walls closed up, a short wall built, and the appliances installed. First day, evaluate job and create estimate. Two days later start and complete the job in two additional days. On the day after the completion, the tenant reported a problem with a door that had been installed. I went over and checked and she was correct. It was in mid-afternoon and I called RROD and reported the problem. They immediately scheduled an appointment for 8:00 AM the next morning (and repaired it on that visit). It was a small job with a small problem. The work looked very professional and the paint for the new areas matched the existing room colors. The point is, they do high quality work and they really do stand behind their work. I shall certainly use them again. I am very satisfied with their responsiveness and the high quality of work.
