We had family staying with us for Thanksgiving, and asked that the inside portion of our project not begin until after they left. Moran was happy to work around this. Along the way, they would ask us if we'd like to include certain options, and informed us of the price difference. They also pointed out where our old double door had been leaking, causing damage. They were able to diagnose the extent of the damage, and then make the necessary repairs within a matter of hours. This was an additional $3k unexpected cost, but fortunately we had planned a little room in our budget for this type of thing. This is huge for peace of mind. Let me say that again - you only pay for work as it's completed. This means that you can have 100% confidence that your project is meeting your goals along the way, without feeling a huge financial pressure. Now, since that's the benefit, you need to ensure that you're ready to pay each draw quickly (within a day or two), out of respect for the workers that have completed the work. That's part of the magic here and what makes the whole deal go so smoothly. All of this paid-off in the execution of a gorgeous project for a very large (~2000 sq ft) basement, complete with full apartment, full bath, kitchen, workout room, storage room and two living areas. While it took a little longer (5 vs. 4 months), it was actually due to modifications that I requested mid-construction. Bob and Jason were both gracious, and talked me through cost and timeline implications each time. In these cases, as long as you're willing to work within their good counsel, you'll see great results. Of course, the best situation is to finalize your plans up front and avoid modifications if at all possible. One piece of advice: pick out your colors for walls, carpet, counter tops as early as possible. They need these quickly, once the project begins. So have these all picked out. Bob and Jason are direct and straight-forward in their approach with clients. They work well with clients who appreciate that kind of wise, expert counsel. They won't steer the project wrong. They'll also answer questions along the way. They are incredibly responsive on text, email and phone calls. This was incredibly meaningful and helpful, as questions naturally arise. We actually feel like these guys are a part of our extended family - we trust them and they delivered great results in great way. We have a great basement that we continue to enjoy today. We're often referring friends to Bob. Give these guys a chance to earn your business. I guarantee that you won't regret it."
