"We needed to replace an existing wooden gate across a concrete drive that extends up the side of the house (but really isn't big enough for a car.) I actually called on around 7 companies prior to finding Rutledge Construction. Most didn't want my job because it was too small or they wanted to charge me a small fortune to do it. When I called Joshua he agreed do our job for a reasonable hourly rate. We tore out the old gate ourselves and purchased the fencing materials & gate hardware. At first because the job was small we thought that he could fit me in between his larger jobs. That didn't work out so we set a firm date (I would recommend this based on his great reviews and how popular he seems to be.) He showed up at 8 am and worked straight through till 3 pm. I don't think he took a break at all during that time. The fence & gate he built for us is well constructed (We replaced a fully opening 11 foot space with a stationary fence with a 3 foot man gate in the middle on a small slope). He left the worksite very clean. I'm happy he was willing to work with us & very pleased with the end result. I would recommend Rutlege Construction to others."

We hired John Wood of JAW Construction to transform a building shell originally intended to be a shop for building trusses into a small house (officially an auxiliary dwelling unit or ADU) and are thrilled we found him. The job required skills that extended beyond new construction to include the insight, skill and craftsmanship of a highly experienced remodeling expert. He possessed these in spades. Beyond his own expertise, he has assembled a set of sub-contractors that are excellent craftsmen in their own areas of expertise. The job was doubly challenging given that for much of the construction period we were out of state getting our old home ready for sale. This also meant that an extra element of trust was involved. John sent us pictures of the progress, so that we could monitor from a distance. In addition, he was able to identify and rectify several flaws in our design. Macy has I/DD and Autism and will likely not be able to live away from us, her parents, unless she is in assisted living of some sort. "Adrian and his crew made our project incredibly smooth. Adrian was always available for a quick call or text when issues or questions came up. His crew members were very friendly and polite and it felt very comfortable having them in our home for several months. We couldn't be more happy with how the basement remodel turned out. We interviewed and received quotes from several firms, and Adrian's price was very competitive and at the same time his professionalism and quality of work was exceptional. His original schedule was very close to the how the timeline actually turned out, and the source of the biggest delay was our own indecision rather than any planning or coordination issues on his part.
