"Lar-Con construction did a fantastic job on our recent kitchen and half bath remodel. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Larry, the owner, was extremely easy to work with and offered helpful suggestions that made our plans a reality. He and his crew were always pleasant and professional. They let us know approximately what time they would arrive each day, and the focus of their work for the next day. They took care to keep the dust and construction materials confined to the work area. Larry spent a great deal of time explaining the difference between ready-made, semi-custom, and custom cabinets and how they might work in our kitchen. He suggested we might want to work with a custom cabinet maker to accommodate the odd angles in our kitchen. He suggested a reputable cabinet maker who did a fantastic job developing a workable plan for our kitchen. Larry worked closely with the cabinet maker coordinating installation of the cabinets and countertops. Larry and his crew took the time and effort to complete work as if they were working on their own home. When an unexpected sub-floor repair was necessitated due to a hidden water leak, the crew took it in stride and worked it into their schedule, replacing the sub-floor. They also went into the crawl space to inspect the floor joists for water damage, repaired and replaced them as needed, and even added an additional vent to the crawl space area to create cross ventilation. Larry worked with the contractor we had hired for flooring installation, and was on hand the day the flooring was installed, helping insure it was installed professionally. We felt comfortable enough with Larry and his crew that we were able to take an out of state trip while the work was in progress. While we were gone, Larry sent photos of the work they completed each day and responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had. We are so pleased with the quality of work completed and the work ethic demonstrated by the entire crew of Lar-Con Construction that we have already scheduled a master bath renovation."

"Moran Vered and his team worked quickly, and were flexible with their work schedule. We had family staying with us for Thanksgiving, and asked that the inside portion of our project not begin until after they left. Moran was happy to work around this. Along the way, they would ask us if we'd like to include certain options, and informed us of the price difference. They also pointed out where our old double door had been leaking, causing damage. They were able to diagnose the extent of the damage, and then make the necessary repairs within a matter of hours. This was an additional $3k unexpected cost, but fortunately we had planned a little room in our budget for this type of thing. Overall we are very pleased with the finished product, and enjoyed working with Vered Renovations. We will gladly hire them again for future renovation projects."

"This is the second time that Raven has done work for me and I was very pleased with the overall quality of the work. The only ding which isn't a major one was that Raven replaced some rotten wood around the door area and the old wood was left on site and was not thrown away. Another key difference is their solid execution plan. They present a floor plan ahead of the project, and a full draw schedule, so that you only pay for work as it's completed (minus a very small, initial deposit as earnest funds). This is huge for peace of mind. Let me say that again - you only pay for work as it's completed. This means that you can have 100% confidence that your project is meeting your goals along the way, without feeling a huge financial pressure. Now, since that's the benefit, you need to ensure that you're ready to pay each draw quickly (within a day or two), out of respect for the workers that have completed the work. That's part of the magic here and what makes the whole deal go so smoothly. All of this paid-off in the execution of a gorgeous project for a very large (~2000 sq ft) basement, complete with full apartment, full bath, kitchen, workout room, storage room and two living areas. While it took a little longer (5 vs. 4 months), it was actually due to modifications that I requested mid-construction. Bob and Jason were both gracious, and talked me through cost and timeline implications each time. In these cases, as long as you're willing to work within their good counsel, you'll see great results. Of course, the best situation is to finalize your plans up front and avoid modifications if at all possible. One piece of advice: pick out your colors for walls, carpet, counter tops as early as possible. They need these quickly, once the project begins. So have these all picked out. Bob and Jason are direct and straight-forward in their approach with clients. They work well with clients who appreciate that kind of wise, expert counsel. They won't steer the project wrong. They'll also answer questions along the way. They are incredibly responsive on text, email and phone calls. This was incredibly meaningful and helpful, as questions naturally arise. We actually feel like these guys are a part of our extended family - we trust them and they delivered great results in great way. We have a great basement that we continue to enjoy today. We're often referring friends to Bob. Give these guys a chance to earn your business. I guarantee that you won't regret it."
