"We recently remodeled our bathroom with VKB Kitchen and Bath and are very happy with the results. Everything came out beautiful, especially the tile and shower. The team was helpful, easy to work with, and kept us updated throughout the project. We would definitely recommend VKB for a bathroom remodel!"

"The consultation received was excellent! Michael Wiggs of City Renovations & Remodeling did an excellent job of educating me on basement design, specifically how to maximize space! City Renovations also provided appropriate conceptional design layout based upon my input within 24 hours. Michael Wiggs definitely knows his craft!"

"LFC did everything we wanted and more. They did everything right and efficiently. Their customer services is the best we ever received. Jan's design ideas were better than we expected. Ceramic tile, closets, countertops and backsplash, drywall, electrical, flooring installation, interior painting, granite installation"

"To be completely upfront, I should first make it clear that I did not have any work done, my comments are strictly based on the estimate/initial home visit. I also want to start with a few positive things that I did like about this encounter. First, I believe this business is based in Southern Maryland or someplace well outside the beltway, so I greatly appreciated that he drove all the way to my home just for an estimate. Secondly, I appreciated that he showed up on time, which is important for me as I have a bit of a tight work schedule. Lastly, I should note that he did seem to know his stuff, and understood what I wanted to have done. But here are the concerning things: First, as soon as he arrived, he immediately began pointing out other issues that were not directly related to the porch, such as noticing that some of the trim around one of my upstairs windows was rotting, and that there were a couple of missing shingles on my roof (gee thanks, I also have a hole in my left sock, want to talk about that too?). This really wasn't a major issue, but it was an immediate indication that he was fishing for extra projects. Later, after assessing the kind of work that would need to be done to the porch, he quoted me $18k, which at first appeared fairly reasonable. But after asking a few more questions, I learned that this estimate would not include any of the paperwork necessary for required permits, or even a drawling/sketch. He recommended that I do the paperwork/permit myself if I wanted to keep the price at 18k. I asked him how much more he would charge if I took care of everything except for the required drawling, he said that alone would cost an additional $2,000! By this point, I was getting a little nervous and wanted to make sure I had the specifics nailed down. So I asked if he would provide me the price in writing. He immediately said that he would not provide anything in writing, and that if I had any doubts about his work, I should look at the reviews on angles list! I don't care if someone has a 1,000 positive reviews, any contractor worth your business should always provide you an estimate in writing, and they should be completely upfront about any additional costs. Perhaps he's good at what he does, maybe I would have loved his work, but it's just not worth the risk."

"Lux Renovations did an excellent job in remodeling my basement. David Guimares, together with Louis Villegas, did a very timely and professional job with installing an Owens Corning basement. They were very easy and courteous to work with and provided key input when needed for HVAC considerations. They worked well with coordinating electrical work and getting required town inspections done in a timely manner. In addition, David provided good suggestions to enhance our finished basement plans prior to starting the work, including how we may be able to reroute some plumbing to enhance our celling height. My wife and I (and are neighbors) are very pleased with the outcome of our finished basement and recommend Lux for remodeling a basement."

"I will never use another contractor for a major renovation ever again! Chevy Chase Remodeling is the ONLY firm I’ll use! I had a tight timeline and a tight budget and Steve from Chevy Chase Remodeling made sure that our renovation went off without a hitch, delivering on time and within budget. When we ran into snags, Steve found affordable, quality solutions. I used to believe that I could hire specialized handymen to do different jobs and come out cheaper than hiring a contractor, but Steve and Chevy Chase Remodeling were THE SAME price as multiple handymen, but I didn’t have to worry with the logistics or find solutions to problems. I was able to concentrate on my move while Steve made sure my new home was ready for us on day one!"

"Very nice work. The remodel was what my wife and I were looking for. We will be hiring them again for future remodels."

"I used Omar's General Contracting to remodel my shower. The shower was very dated and on the small side based on how it was built not the available space. OGC stripped the shower down to the studs, the shower framing was reconfigured to take advantage of the additional space, the plumbing was moved over to fit the new layout and a bench was added. OGC was very open to listening and talking with me about what I wanted to do. When I moved the location of the bench to the another side of the shower, they accommodated my change of mind. We discussed how that affected the final shower look and we went on from there. It's perfect! The single shower head was replaced by a shower head, a sliding shower head mounted on a bar and body sprays. The frameless glass just makes it so inviting. The tile and finishing work are beautiful! OGC also hung cabinets, replaced a two piece vanity with a three piece vanity and changed the towel bars etc. to match. This definitely ranks as one of my favorite outcomes in a remodeling project."

"We had 2 shower remodels in one day. Marvin & Tony did our tub to shower conversion and Fabio & Joel did our other shower remodel. All four installers were courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and did an awesome job! We're loving our new showers!"
