"Everything went very well. Al is a great communicator, so every step of the way, I knew what was happening. We had a couple of unforeseen issues (doesn't everyone?), but he explained what they were and what was needed in order fix them. We had him remove our bathtub and create a walk in shower. He also needed to replace our older toilet with a low-flow model. He placed tile all around the shower, removed wallpaper (which was AWFUL because I had painted over it!), and then painted that area. We also decided along the way to ask him to replace our existing lighting, which again, was old and awful. That extended the project a little, but we were okay with that because we knew we had asked him to do some extra things.
He also erected a headboard in the bedroom, again, something else extra, and it turned out beautifully. I stained boards, he put them up...at a very reasonable price.
This was our first time doing a remodel and I couldn't be happier. Al has a great attention to detail, which others don't. He works clean! Even must husband noticed. He works alone, which I also like. We have a small house and a small budget and will probably work on one room at a time, but Al is our guy. He has also done some other work which I will post about, also. Thanks."
