"Lar-Con construction did a fantastic job on our recent kitchen and half bath remodel. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Larry, the owner, was extremely easy to work with and offered helpful suggestions that made our plans a reality. He and his crew were always pleasant and professional. They let us know approximately what time they would arrive each day, and the focus of their work for the next day. They took care to keep the dust and construction materials confined to the work area. Larry spent a great deal of time explaining the difference between ready-made, semi-custom, and custom cabinets and how they might work in our kitchen. He suggested we might want to work with a custom cabinet maker to accommodate the odd angles in our kitchen. He suggested a reputable cabinet maker who did a fantastic job developing a workable plan for our kitchen. Larry worked closely with the cabinet maker coordinating installation of the cabinets and countertops. Larry and his crew took the time and effort to complete work as if they were working on their own home. When an unexpected sub-floor repair was necessitated due to a hidden water leak, the crew took it in stride and worked it into their schedule, replacing the sub-floor. They also went into the crawl space to inspect the floor joists for water damage, repaired and replaced them as needed, and even added an additional vent to the crawl space area to create cross ventilation. Larry worked with the contractor we had hired for flooring installation, and was on hand the day the flooring was installed, helping insure it was installed professionally. We felt comfortable enough with Larry and his crew that we were able to take an out of state trip while the work was in progress. While we were gone, Larry sent photos of the work they completed each day and responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had. We are so pleased with the quality of work completed and the work ethic demonstrated by the entire crew of Lar-Con Construction that we have already scheduled a master bath renovation."

"My wife and I have been homeowners for over 30 years, owning three houses in three cities. For the past 20+ years we have been homeowners in metro Atlanta. We have hired a number of contractors in our day. Professional Home Improvement (PHI) is far and away the best company we have ever worked with. We have (enthusiastically!) shared our experience and recommended PHI to our friends and neighbors. The three essentials: (1) Effective communication throughout planning and execution. Dennis & Jean listen—with deep attention and comprehension. They have a calling to improve the lives of others by improving the functionality and beauty of the homes they wake up to and live in every day. Their respect for, attention to, and comprehension of our functional needs and aesthetic preferences have been profound. And this has persisted throughout planning and execution; they have initiated more contacts with us than we have with them—to inform us about what’s next, coordinate the activities of tradesmen with our lives, and ask more detailed questions about choices of equipment, supplies, etc., as each phase proceeds. (2) Expert, hard-working, trustworthy tradesmen and connections to suppliers. This is something that is absolutely essential to the experience of undergoing a remodel. Can you trust the expert skills of the tradesmen your contractor assembles and whose activities they coordinate? Are you comfortable with their presence in your home? Do they consistently deliver value while onsite? We have shared our home with the tradesmen enlisted by Dennis & Jean for several months, throughout phases 1, 2, and 3. We look forward to their arrival in our home, admire their skill, hard work, and dedication to doing things right, and are completely comfortable with having them in our home. Dennis & Jean also have longstanding relationships with many sources and suppliers, greatly streamlining the process of finding and selecting the right paint, flooring, equipment, etc. (3) Reasonable prices yielding exceptional value, with careful and thorough accounting. Dennis & Jean are sensitive to price and value, exacting in presenting options and prices, and careful and thorough in their accounting. In sum, an A+ for Dennis & Jean and the entire PHI team/network!"

"I started looking for someone that could complete my unfinished basement in May. I had received several estimates that were all different prices. Though when I meet with Jason Richards, he asked what I and my wife both wanted. Jason listens and within a week he provided me with the estimate. The estimate was fair, and I felt that he would deliver he was honest and truthful that's something that you don't always get. There are contractors that will tell you anything to get the job and then can't deliver. Jason provided me with a time along with time and week each portion would be completed with the total dollar amount due. Two and half months and the project is finished with no hidden charges everything as we agreed. I love everything about the process. My husband used to flip houses and put in the kitchen that was torn out. Therefore, he was very watchful of their work. He was totally impressed with the quality and timeliness. They presented a schedule with their estimate and met every deadline on it. We never had to wonder who was coming when or if anyone would show up on a given day. As with my major project, there were a couple of hiccups cups that were felt with promptly and professionally. We are now wondering what other projects they can do for us!
