"This was by far my best experience with contractors. I was looking for past 7 years to remodel my bathrooms and never liked or trusted any of the contractors I interviewed.Many would mislead you that they do tile work and then they try to sell you acrylic wall’s for shower and scare you not to do tiles because you will have mold or leaks. I also wanted to install rain shower faucet system and non of the contractors would do it. They force you to buy particular brand of faucets and you have no choice to design your bathroom the way you want. Very annoying..My first interview with Santos was a surprise! He didn’t have a problem with any of my requests and he showed me a lot of of his work. I hired him right away. His crew worked every day from 8-5or 6pm snd finished 1 bathrom and one powder room within 12 days. Every day they would cover all floors clean up after the end of day. They don’t cut corners, they pay attention to detail s and take pride in the work they do. Very rare to see nowadays. The work they did is outstanding! My bathrooms are gorgeous and I can’t wait to do my master bath next year. I won’t recommend Santos and his crew for any remodeling because they are really skilled."

"It was done in the promised amount of time of 4 weeks. There was a bit of a delay with the township. The workers did outstanding work, the decks they have done in my neighborhood are by far the most beautiful. Everything I requested at the beginning was honored and they came up with a few additional great ideas. I requested that the price not change and it did not. My son was having a deck done at the same time and took pictures so his contractor would model his after my deck. I am very pleased with the outcome and would use them again."

"So, as mentioned before, I did end up sourcing my vanity top and vanity elsewhere. I ended up getting Home Depot to do both. (Hope Depot outsourced to other contractors of course.) The price and quality from Home Depot was better than my other choices. But this review is about First State, so let me return to talking about them. First State was perfect in everything they did. * The sales process was very smooth and responsive. * They had a bit of backlog, so I had to wait a bit, but they were very communicative throughout the process and scheduling was more than satisfactory. * They were extremely flexible with dealing with my external vendor (for the vanity top installation). They were VERY accommodating and appreciated it. * They did high quality work. On all parts: tub work, tile work, plumbing work, vanity work. As well as in keeping disruption to a minimum and professionalism. * They were very communicative and responsive about when they would show up, what work would happen when, and dealing with the whole process. * They went above and beyond on several minor things that were not in the contract."

Allowances for additional plywood (new shingles and underlayment) very reasonable (and didn t need to dip into it, but glad the bid was so clear). Excellent products; great ridge vent, too. "I would rate as an A, but unfortunately feel that I was mislead and oversold by the sales person in a few areas. I received conflicting information over whether I would need an additional electrical outlet for sump pump (I do). He also mentioned there would be cleanup activity performed around the edges of the egress window (it was not). Lastly, I feel I was oversold on the sump pump as it seems significantly more powerful than what is needed. It should not surprise me as sales is intended to upsell as much as possible and I went along with it, so this is more my own fault than theirs, but figured worth noting for the benefit of future customers when all the extra bells and whistles are being pushed on you. Outside of this, quality of work that was performed seems good, working crew was polite and courteous."
