"This company if great. Our central air quit in July and after checking the breaker and the fuse box, I knew that the unit need professional repair so I looked this company up on the internet, called them and after explaining the problem, Kelly Dean came the same day and repaired the unit. Their service is professional and their price was very reasonable. I would recommend them to any one who wants honest, professional service."

"The technician arrived on time and was extremely professional and polite - to the point that he asked if it was OK to plug in his cell phone charger! He took his time and ensured that everything was hooked up properly. Upon completion, he took the time to answer all of my questions (I had a lot since I had originally intended to install it myself - glad I didn't). He walked me through the installation, the hookups, and demonstrated changing the filter. I would definitely hire them again in the future."

"Wes showed up about 20min to noon and spent approximately 30min to complete the job. He checked, cleaned, and tested the front and rear gutters (front had a clog which I was aware of and rear was perfectly fine). For those like me who are unaware of what gutter testing is, Wes explained he pumped air down the top of the gutter and looked for proper airflow at the other end. He was professional the entire time and even showed me pictures of his work. Before leaving he used a blower to clear debris off my driveway which was beyond what I expected. I will definitely reach out to him again in the future."

"Everything turned out well in the end. They had a few problems on the way but they fixed them. We’ve had them out for different things like the furnace, air conditioning and things like that. The main problem this time was, it wasn’t the same person that came out each time. One person made a mistake and then someone else had to come out and fix it. The person who made the mistake should have noticed they were doing something wrong. I don’t know if they were less experienced or if they didn’t pay attention or what it was. When we called and said there was a problem, they did get it corrected. They sent out somebody I guess with more experience and he took care of it. Overall I’m happy and would use them again. They did our furnace several years ago. I haven’t called or compared their prices to anyone. I have talked to friends who have had similar things done and they said the price is probably about right. It wasn’t a very professional way to did it though. I would use their services again in the future."
Most professional HVAC technicians require two to three hours to complete an expansion valve replacement. The timeframe depends on your unit's accessibility and whether additional repairs are needed. The process involves recovering refrigerant, removing the old valve, installing the new component, and recharging the system. Scheduling during less busy seasons may result in more convenient appointment times.
Operating your air conditioner with a malfunctioning expansion valve isn't advisable. Continuing to run the system could potentially damage other components, particularly your compressor, which is significantly more expensive to replace. If you notice performance issues like inconsistent cooling or unusual noises, it's best to have your system inspected before continuing regular use.
Expansion valves don't have a standard replacement schedule, as their longevity depends on system usage, maintenance frequency, and environmental factors. Regular professional maintenance helps identify potential valve issues before they cause system failure. Having your HVAC system serviced annually allows technicians to monitor component condition and recommend preventative replacements when necessary.
Refrigerant leaks require prompt professional attention. If your expansion valve is leaking, you'll likely notice reduced cooling performance and possibly hear hissing sounds near the unit. Addressing leaks quickly prevents further system inefficiency and avoids the environmental impact of released refrigerant. Your HVAC technician will need to repair the leak and recharge the system with the proper refrigerant type and amount.
Because many AC issues present similar symptoms, professional diagnosis is recommended. Problems like inadequate cooling, inconsistent temperatures, or strange noises could indicate expansion valve issues, but might also stem from refrigerant leaks, electrical problems, or airflow restrictions. A qualified HVAC technician has the tools and expertise to accurately identify the root cause and recommend appropriate repairs.
