"Great Experience. I was concerned about the 22 yr age of our air conditioner able to keep working and wonder if a long wait time to get a product shipped like refrigerators last year, I called for a quote and within a week it was installed and working! Installers worked tirelessly until their work was done, clean and neat!"

"I wouldn't have used them to do the air-conditioner if they hadn't done a good job."

"Excellent - As on his previous service call two weeks ago, Darrin was very prompt, courteous, and happy to answer my many questions. The two outside freeze-proof faucets needed to be replaced because of their age and poor condition. I provided Darrin my copy of the estimate he wrote up for me on my prior service call (he said he didn't have a copy of it on his current work order), and he honored it as promised, letting me use my $50 credit (I had previously purchased a discounted Plumbing Service deal from Angie's List for $39.00). Darrin was able to complete the entire job in about an hour and with minimum disruption to everyone home when the water was turned off. Also, as previously promised by Darrin, I was not charged for an additional service call since I had him look at the faucets during the previous service call, but he didn't have time during that service call to replace them. In addition to replacing the two faucets, he also installed shut-offs on each water line inside of the house near each faucet."

"Seems I was spending a ridiculous amount of money on electricity because my central unit was not operating correctly. I now have flowing cold air."

"I called McKenny and the HVAC professional called me within minutes, set a schedule and was on time. He quickly diagnosed our problem, communicated the next steps including approximate turnaround time for ordered part. Once part arrived, a schedule was set to complete the job and work was finished to our satisfaction. We highly recommend this company."

"They were on time, efficient. Quality was excellent with a couple of hiccups, which they resolved the same when it failed inspection on hwh. I fixed furnace air leak myself with metal tape."

"Frankly, I rarely give reviews but this encounter warranted it. Here we go: On a 100 degree, sweltering Saint Louis afternoon, my 23 year old HVAC system finally called it quits. I knew I was looking at a full replacement and a repair would simply cost more money in the long run as the replacement was imminent. I did my due diligence and got multiple bids. I contacted John Hively and he said he could make it out that night (it was already 6:00 when I contacted him!) He showed up just 30 minutes later and did HIS due diligence checking all the components of the HVAC system before offering his diagnosis, verdict, and the cost of parts and labor. He was incredibly knowledgeable and his proposal was very reasonable considering the extent of the project and he was very competitive against the several other bids I had received - not to mention his warranties were unrivaled. Now, this is where the story gets really good... Because of the heat and my staying at a hotel because my house was 86 degrees, he rushed the appointment... While everyone else was giving a 7-14 day approximation, he was back the next day to drop of equipment and then the following day for the install. From 72 hours of making the call I had cool air again. He estimated a 4-6 hour completion time and his *extremely professional* crew was done in 5. They gave me a run-down on maintenance procedures, double checked everything to make sure the system was functioning as it should be, and were on their way. I can confidently state that John Hively provided the best residential service of ANY kind I've received since being a homeowner. I won't even waste time with bids on any HVAC needs again because Hively Heating and Cooling is my new go-to HVAC service provider. Do yourself a favor and call John. - A very happy homeowner"
