"I contacted Schuyler because he had successfully repaired the oven in my gas range two years ago after another company botched the repair and overcharged me. This time I contacted him because my dishwasher was leaking and one of the burners on my gas range had ceased to ignite, despite repeated cleanings. Schuyler came to my house at the appointed time and quickly diagnosed the problems. He warned me that it could take up to two weeks to receive a part from Bosch, the dishwasher manufacturer, and indeed it did. As soon as he received both parts (the rubber seal for the dishwasher and the gas burner), Schuyler contacted me and made an appointment to come to the house to install them. He was on time for the appointment, and he worked quickly and efficiently. He is highly professional, very courteous, and very skilled. He is my first choice whenever I need a repair to a major appliance."

"They were professional and on time. They cared about our house and put down tarps and stuff to walk on. They did an excellent job on the installation and were helpful in explaining how the system worked. They went over all the components that they installed. From what I can tell, they did a neat job. They had to break a window to vent to the outside. They didn't clean up the broken glass on the outside of the house, but it was probably just an oversight."

"Daniel and Anthony over at Dean's Service were great! They communicated properly and kept me informed about what they were doing through all of the repairs. They were able to squeeze me in to their busy schedule even during the hottest of days. The company truly puts the customer first and I would highly recommend Dean's Service to anyone looking for HVAC work."

"The electrician, Bill McNeil, came by to do a full electrical inspection according to an Angie's List coupon. I was pleased by his professional assessment and expertise in the matter. As I suspected, there were many electrical hazards and violations in my basement, regarding tying in a newer circuit breaker with very _old_ cables, due to negligence of the prior home owner. There were many inappropriately sized cables feeding big appliance circuits too! On top of that there were many outlets with reverse polarity and even outlets in the kitchen without GFCI breakers, which were dangereous. Bill, walked me through the hazards, and gave me his recommendation, which I agree to. He basically rewired the whole basement, including new appliance cables. He also went through the rest of my home and fixed a number of hazardous outlets.
In summary, I'm glad I was connected with Bill and A-best Electric through that Angie's List coupon.
Thanks guys!
UPDATE 7/2/2013
I felt I owed it to other angie's list customers to downgrade my rating for this job from an A to a C. As you can see, I added some F's in there, which in my view, pull the overall down to a C. Here is why.
Yes, the work and electrician that came out were great. The management, on the other hand, clearly does not have its act together. It's been nearly 3 months after the work has been completed, and no matter how many times I call and email them, they will not send me the receipt and warranty registration that were promised. I've even spoke directly to the owner, and he promised to have the documents mailed to me by the following Friday. That was 3 months ago, and now they do not return phone calls. As a homeowner, I don't think it is unreasonable to expect to have some official documentation to prove that a $3k job was done.
Anyways, there is clearly a lack of professionalism at the management level.
What's more is that I got a strange phone call from the electrician (the one I thought did a great job, Bill McNeil) the day after completing our job saying that he was fired for unknown reasons and wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the work performed.
I add this last bit to show what an obvious mess this company must be.
So, I apologize for my previous glowing review of A-best Electric, in retrospect the A grade goes to Bill McNeil, NOT A-best. They get an F."

Yes, buying appliances in a bundle can save you money and reduce the cost per unit. Retailers often offer discounts when you purchase three or more appliances from the same brand together. This approach not only lowers your appliance expenses but also simplifies installation coordination, providing financial and scheduling benefits.
The best time to buy a new appliance is when your current one fails or during a renovation. Major shopping holidays like Black Friday and Labor Day offer seasonal sales with better discounts. Planning your purchase during these times helps you maximize savings and aligns with your home improvement plans.
When you buy a new appliance, many retailers will also remove and dispose of your old appliances when they come to install the new ones. To dispose of your old appliance yourself, start by safely disconnecting it. If it's no longer functional, you can recycle it. If it still operates safely, consider donating or selling it to recoup some value. Some retailers offer trade-in programs for discounts on new models. These options promote eco-friendly disposal and help reduce waste.
