"We called and texted Admiral yesterday to see if they’d be available to check the dishwasher today. Fred replied with a text this morning and said he’d be able to come over this afternoon between 2pm–5pm. He arrived well within that window of time, checked the dishwasher, and said it wasn’t broken — the foam overflow was just due to residue of liquid soap that hadn’t been sufficiently rinsed off after pre-washing dishes by hand in the sink. Now we know! Then Fred put the empty dishwasher through another cycle to clean out the remainder of the foam, and said when the cycle was finished we could use it again, no problem. We were charged just $65 plus $5 tax, a very reasonable amount, especially considering he’d just saved us several hundred $ that we would’ve spent for new dishwasher.
