"I placed a notice on Angi that I desperately needed an architect. I was given a list of 5 companies, however Campbell Architects (CA) contacted me first. As a matter of fact, I do not recall any of the other companies reaching out to me. When I tell you that Johnathan Campbell stepped in and did what I needed him to do which was to draw a PLAT of my property, he also went above and beyond what one would expect someone as busy as him to do. He came in and recognized that in addition to needing a PLAT, I was also having a terrible time getting the work on my property completed because a hostile neighbor continuously contacted the DOB with false statements causing me to incur numerous Stop Work Orders. When I asked Mr. Campbell what his experience was with this sort of thing, he told me and then offered his help. What I found was a very thoughtful, quiet, and professional architect who had seen it all. Not only did he understand the situation with the neighbor, he also understood my plight with the DOB and set about methodically, and very carefully stepping in to argue my case for me. He has the experience, he has the knowledge, he has the patience and he is an established and well known architect in this area, and highly respected at the DOB. It took me six months to get a response from the DOB, but once Mr. Campbell stepped in, it only took one day. My point here is that the magnitude of an individual's professionalism, knowledge and capabilities is reflected in the work product and engagement experience you the homeowner will receive. Here, Mr. Campbell made a WORLD of difference in my life as a homeowner trying to do her best against a system of mostly men who know the system, who can be cavalier and do not really care that we the homeowners have become frustrated with DOB. Mr. Campbell is an ANGEL. If you ever need an architect, he is your guy. He is a no nonsense kind of man who really, really cares about people and understands that most homeowners are "no match" for the DOB machine that controls the movement of homeowners here in the DMV. I am so grateful to Angi for creating a platform where I could find Mr. Campbell. I honestly do not know if I could have survived my nightmare ordeal without his knowledge, strength and capabilities. I now consider him to be a friend. I was shocked that he was willing to help me with the crazy man next door, but he took all of that on. He has made a difference in my mental health and ability to complete the work that I started, which the neighbor constantly stopped. I feel that I got more than an architect when I met Mr. Campbell. "1) I had signed a contract with a brick/masonry company on September 10, 2019, to construct a full brick veneer on the front of my house. The crew worked one day, October 14, 2019, then nothing! Sometime after that, the firm concluded my project required a building permit approved by Loudoun County, VA. I signed a blank building permit form in November. 2) Doug was hired by the firm to conduct a structural engineers analysis of my house and to prepare drawings and written guidance for the construction of the brick veneer wall, for review by the Loudoun County building permit office. 3) Doug came on November 11, 2019, to survey my house. He was on time, efficient and courteous. He knew exactly how to plan and execute his assignment. He did not waste his or my time. Yet he did take the time to answer all of my questions. 4) He minimized demolition needed to analyze the structure by cutting a piece of drywall from the garage (vs the living space) 5) He submitted his work deliverable to the brick/masonry firm ahead of his contract schedule. 6) On a couple of occasions since his November 11, 2019 appointment, he has contacted me to check on the progress of the project. (Work resumed in January 2020.) I believe he genuinely cares that my project is completed properly and to my satisfaction."

They did an excellent work with my my new home plans, they were very professional and completed the project in a short period of time, they were able to revise and revamp a product from another company. The final product was to my entire satisfaction I would gladly recommend them to others looking for an architect. "Todd Willoughby is a very talented architect. We have had the pleasure of working with him to design our custom home in Middleburg, Virginia. Todd is extremely knowledgeable about residential and commercial construction. This is our third custom home, and we have worked with several other architects on various projects through the years. My husband is in commercial construction and has worked with numerous architects in the past forty years. The biggest difference with Todd is that we felt as though he wanted to design the house that WE wanted, not the house that he wanted to design for us. He listened to every suggestion and made every change we recommended to design our home exactly the way we envisioned. His step by step design process allowed us to see our ideas come together. We were able to see whether we were achieving the look we had in mind. Todd gave us very helpful suggestions. He responded to every question and email almost immediately. He told us exactly what to expect and when to expect it. His 3D model was amazing and unbelievably helpful in allowing us to "experience" the sizes of the rooms, windows and many other little details. It gave a perspective that is just not possible to get from a 2D drawing. Todd was even able to put the civil engineer's grading plan on 3D showing the house and property. We have never seen an architect be able to do this. It helped immensely. We could not have been more pleased with Todd Willoughby's skills, knowledge, responsiveness, professionalism and ability to deliver exactly what we wanted by the date promised. His pricing for his services is very competitive and reasonable. He is truly a nice guy. We look forward to working with Todd again in the near future."

"My contractor removed the wall and now I have a wonderful open-island kitchen with granite.  Kamran was amazing, super professional, responsive and very honest from a price perspective.  He charged only 275 for one inspection, when all the other structural engineering company who gave me a quotation, would have charged 400-500 dollars only for the inspection.  He charged me only once, even if he came out twice.  So happy with his services, I decided to call him again to assess the possibility to place a roof-deck on my roof.  He came, inspected the roof, made a positive assessement and did not charge me for the visit, saying that if we decided to move forward with the deck, he would have charged me next time when he would come to take the measurements.  Kamran was so kind to provide me with the contact of another contractor specialized in roof decks, with prices much more competitive than those on the market. I am very happy with his service and will for sure contact him again every time I will need a structural engeneering advice.

"I had a great experience working with Omid Gharavi of OGV Structural Engineering for structural engineering permit services for my home in Baltimore. He was knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with. The drawings he prepared and stamped, along with the engineering letter, were approved by the county without issue, allowing me to move forward with my home project. I truly appreciate his expertise and would highly recommend his services."

"Justin came by to evaluate the job on a Saturday morning after missing our initially scheduled meeting, getting hung up on another project.  He was pleasant and knowledgeable about what was needed to complete the job.  He promised an estimate by Monday and followed through on that promise.  He was able to work us in within a couple of days later.  He and his two man crew hung the drywall in a single day, working around garage door openers support brackets and other unique cuts.  I was impressed when he pointed out that he had marked the multiple drain pipe cleanouts and valves buried behind the drywall for future reference.  The gentleman he sent the following morning completed the mud and tape work.  My only critique would be that he seemed to rush to finish and the work done in the later part of the morning did not match the quality of his work early on and it will require some touch up work on my part.  However, I was very pleased overall with the quality of the work, the professionalism of the workmen and the great attitude displayed by everyone.  I would not hesitate to hire Adam Contracting again.
