We knew that there would be a post-required to support not only the new beam, but an existing steel I-beam that terminated in the same spot. When we opened everything up, it became apparent that in order to adequately support both, the post would need to be much larger than we initially thought - if we simply posted the new beam. We got George on Facetime so he could see what was going on and he worked in real-time with his crew to engineer a solution that not only brought the size of the post back in line with everyone's initial expectations, but actually improved upon the existing post which did not have adequate blocking underneath. Mathew was very professional and easy to work with, since he was very communicative, collaborative, and walked us through the entire process. It was fun going through the design process with him, and he gave some great recommendations to make what we had in our head even better. We leaned on his experience quite a bit throughout, and were glad to have him there throughout the construction process as well, as he knew how to get the best work out of the contractors. "We hired Ernest and Sons to construct our patio tiles. We purchased 2' X 2' Tiles and I have to say they did a gorgeous job. I was so pleased with the way they showed up when they said they would. The men that laid out on my job worked so hard. The labor was very strenuous but they never took a break. They were the most conscientious and polite workers I've ever dealt with. They worked neatly, cleaned up totally afterward, and just had a great deal of respect for our property. They really did a beautiful job and Ernest, the owner is a real gentleman also. "It was a 2nd time that we worked with Justin, the owner of Innozign contracting. He did a great job. The only reason that I didn't give a 5 star acknowledgment is due to the fact that project took much longer than scheduled, which in part was due to the twp's inspection schedule.
