"Ferney was excellent! He responded back within a reasonable time and was able to get the job done the next day. He took special care to ensure that all three furniture pieces were assembled beautifully and properly. I will always call him in the future. Very Happy!"

"Mr. Smith proved to be a consummate professional and skilled carpenter, as well as patient, friendly, and thorough. His subcontractors, especially the master cabinetmaker, were highly skilled. Once the kitchen was demolished, a leak under the floor was finally identified. Mr. Smith explained the problem and the solution, and his remedy finally corrected a long-standing plumbing problem that had been overlooked by other contractors. We love our new kitchen, and we highly recommend J. L. Smith Repair and Remodeling."

"He and his coworker did a good job and got it all done in one day.  My only criticism is that I paid $20 extra for them to remove/dispose of trash, but later I found some scrap wood and trash left in my trash can and on my driveway.  So I marked them down to a B for not carefully policing the area and picking up ALL items.

"They are expensive! They are very professional when trying to get the job and they are great to work with until they get paid. Then they stop calling you back! So if you go with them, make sure you write down every single detail you want done and make sure it's all done before you make that final payment. They painted my entire house and stained hardwood floors (plus installed some where there was carpet). It was a large job and they got paid well but once done we notice several small things they did incorrectly. Initially the owner, Henry, answered my phone calls and said he would arrange for painters to return to my home to finish these small details but they never arranged a time and now they don't return my calls or answer any texts like they did before the final payment was made. I was ready to give them 5 stars for everything but it's now 3 months since they completed the work and they still haven't returned to fix the minor details. I want to give them 1 star on customer service but I don't want to ruin their business just beware. Next time I would withhold some money for another two weeks until you are sure that they did everything completely. Very disappointing because they are a full service company and I was prepared to hire them for several other jobs as well as reccommed them to friends and neighbors until they chose to just stop responding. Very unprofessional way to handle some very minor oversights. As a business owner I just couldn't understand why they would lose a customer that paid them handsomely and on time over some very minor details that could probably be handled in 1 hour (door handles upside down, shoe molding not painted, blinds reinstalled incorrectly, etc). That's why I waited 3 months to post this but unfortunately they still haven't responded. So my warning is to write everything down and pay attention to details and don't pay them everything until you have had a few weeks to look around the entire house. Overall good job but be prepared to stop hearing from them once the final payment is made. They don't value repeat customers."
