"Overall, the painters did most of what I wanted, I'm just not sure I got $299 worth of professional work done.  So the deal was $299 for 8 hours of painting (or 4 hours with 2 painters).  During the phone contact, I said I only needed trim painting done and it would be all one color.  When he arrived, I showed him the areas to be painted (crown and chair molding in the dining room) and base molding in all the other areas.  I also asked that the crown molding in the kitchen be painted.  He said that the kitchen work would probably go over the time limit.  He also said since I was using white paint to go over the brown paint, it might need two coats.
The began to work (there was just a few pieces of furniture to move).  At the two hour mark, they were finished with the dining room.  I was really surprised that two professional painters took that long to do one room but I thought if they were applying two coats it might take longer.  I was worried if they could complete the rest of the work.
They did finish in the 4 hours.  However, when I looked over the work, I noticed that only one coat of paint was applied (I could see some of the brown coming through).  He said that he had told me earlier that a second coat might be needed.  So, what took so long in the dining room if they didn't apply a second coat?
Most of the furniture was put back where it was.  There was no mess. There was no bleed over from trim to wall or floor.  They were very respectful.  All this was very important to me.
WouId I use again?  I had to pick yes or no -- my choice is "don't know."  There were some very good points, but some things disappointed me.

"I am a developer in the DC area. They do all of my work. They are the most cost-effective and most reliable welding company in the area. The best quality work as well."

"We were about to scrap our project after the first contractor Beltway Builders came out for an estimate. The price they quoted was so high we were going to forgoe this project and spend the money elsewhere. The 7th state builders came out and their representative Dan was knowledgeable, professional and worked with me to come up with a design we loved and met our budget which was half the price quoted by Beltway Builders. It really felt like he cared more about our satisfaction than getting as much money as he could from us."

"Excellent! Designer Dena Stansbury is excellent! The installation crew was also very good. We are very pleased with the company."

"The work was quick and nicely done. I love my deck. They did a great job!"

"I have used many contractors in my life. But Eric was above and beyond any I have used, He made sure he did it right with great solutions to little problems. I highly recommend Mr. Handyman and especially Eric, well done!"

"Henry and his crew were great and did an excellent job on my deck. They went way beyond what we talked about but didnâ t increase the quote by a penny. My initial project was the wash, and stain my deck and replace a few boards. I ended up with practically a brand new deck. I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future for other projects. Oh, everyone maintained social distancing."

"We were very excited about our siding. And Door was professional and crew did an amazing job. We are very pleased. I would speak them to anybody. They also cleaned up very nice. My project manger Michael and nick were so personable and very respectful"
