"I needed stucco repair work on an old chimney (and other spots). Grady was meticulous and thoughtful on what approaches and materials would work. Throughout the project they allocated sufficient time for each treatment to cure and inspected the work before proceeding to the next step. Grady started the project with no money down and only required ongoing payments for materials until the project was well underway. The final payment was due only after they did a final inspection. Total project cost was also below other bids."

"The project has taken more time than anticipated due to material and subcontractor availability. The framing work was outstanding. Wall board work was also outstanding. Electrical work was very good, but the location of a bathroom fixture and chair lift power plug had to be moved because they were too low. The tile work in the bathroom (shower and floor), computer room (floor), entrance (floor) was outstanding, but I'd rather call it amazing. The plumbing work was very good, but parts availability delayed completion. Finishing work done by MJL was outstanding!!! Anthony is a master at detail. The rigor of MJL inspection of work by the subcontractors was very thorough and when issues were identified were recorded and worked off. Communication and follow up is a big deal for home improvement projects in this challenging environment of material, parts, and workforce shortages. MJL excelled in communication. We rated punctuality as good but would have rated them very good if there was an option. We highly recommend them. We have since booked two additional projects with MJL, a screened in porch and a garage redo. They start in late July. We expect both projects to go very well."

"The owner is very good at carpentry. His work at replacing the wood around a specific lower portion of the door frame was done very well and that was the most important part of the job in my opinion. There was a small portion of wood also replaced underneath a corner portion of our gutter. The price I was quoted assumed that much more wood would have to be replaced under the gutters. Most of the wood was found to be in good condition, however, and so some primer (which I provided) was simply splashed over the exposed wood. The price of the job did not change. My main concern was the constant lack of timeliness. He would say that he was going to come over, but simply wouldn't show. This happened many times. In all honesty, there were a few days when the weather was very cold, but I still should have received a call. I never knew when he was going to come to do the work. I also was very upset when he announced that he was done and wanted the final payment for his work. He had not finished the job as he promised and was going to simply take his money and leave. He came late and in a rush. We had discussed at the signing and several times afterward, that part of the job was to leave the door in a condition which would be paint ready. He hadn't done that. When I showed him all of the problems, he rushed to quickly fix them so he could leave.  I was dissatisfied with the condition in which he left my door.  I had to fix the door myself after he left before I painted it. He is a good carpenter. But I wasn't happy with his reliability or quality of other work.
