"Hired him to install 2 rather large windows. He was very focused and certainly knew what he was doing. His cost estimate was pretty much what it did cost. Very accommodating and not looking to find ways to overcharge. Will be using him again for other work needed around my house"

"We have used this business for numerous projects. They always deliver excellent work and are very flexible with some of our creative carpentry ideas. So far we have custom bookcases in three separate spaces, boot box, an old farmhouse staircase redo and we are hoping to do a full kitchen in the near future."

"Fabulous communication ,and work. I live out of state, and each time that work has needed to be done The Golden Rule Handyman has been on time and very professional . One of the few companies that is excellent in all phases of the business world. I highly recommend this company !"

"Highly recommend them to anyone and his Dad works with him and they both are great people!"

"Jamie called me back within minutes of my first inquiry online. He arranged to come out the following day and provided a quote. He was able to complete the roofing job in one day, arrived early, and stayed onsite for the entire day. He was thorough , professional, and straight forward in his assessment . He completed the job in a timely and thorough manner, along with a very complete clean up prior to leaving. Jamie came in just under his quote . I would certainly have Jamie do more work here, and hope he can help us in the future."

"Very pleased with this contractor. He gave me a fair estimate and stuck to it. He was also professional and showed up when he said he would. The job he did was more than satisfactory and I have no complaints."

"Prompt, reasonable and professional. Good crew. Came up with great ideas on other projects I have in mind. Love my new ceiling, they fixed all the rot in my subfloors and prepped for new flooring. Would recommend for all your weekend projects. Did I mention they work efficiently? what they got done in a weekend probably would have taken a 4 man crew a week. Nick, Gerry and Frank are the crew for you."

"I can't overstate the quality of the work these folks did. We had our unfinished attic converted to living space, and the space had a lot of funky angles and old framing. G.A. Doughty's team did an incredible job making it work, including a half-bath! We're very pleased with the result. Everyone at G.A., the project manager, office staff, and all the subcontractors were very polite and fun to work with. Everyone who came to the house was very friendly. The only issue we had was that for a few months during the middle of the project, things seemed to stall out for about 6-8 weeks. I think they were having some availability issues with subcontractors and were overloaded from other projects."

Honest hard working guy just looking to add a little more work to the business. Great frame to finish.

Hello,\n\nMy name is Adam. \n\nI just started my own LLC doing carpentry. I’ve done carpentry throughout my life, and professionally for three years. I have also worked as a fireman, and rock climbing guide, a painter, and a cobbler. I enjoy using really big saws (of all kinds, chainsaws included) and working with big pieces of timber. I love making my work clean and precise. I also enjoy making big oil paintings and stretching my own canvases. Angi asked me to write a little about myself. How’s that?
