Sticker shock is crazy but once you get over the fact that no matter who you hire, it's going to cost more than you expected then you can find the best team for the job. I chose deck because they simply specialize in decks. It wasn't cheap but they weren't crazy expensive like some of the other quotes I got. I had one quote $40k to replace a few boards and paint the entire deck and stairs. Another company wanted $20k, another company told me to knock it down. WHAT? Anyway I went with Ideck for $4500. They were quick and used the good paint and primer."

He explained it would never need maintenance (as, of course, wood does), and all I'd ever have to do is just hose it down. None of the other people I interviewed for the job thought to suggest that, and one of them gave me an estimate of $1,500! I am very happy with the door; it's heavy-duty and looks just like wood. The old path was narrow and cracked, and the new one is wide and fits the property better. The pillars gave us a real entrance feel. They also ran low-voltage lights inside the pillars so they light-up at night. It's not flashy, just clean and sharp. The stone matches the front steps, and everything feels like it belongs now. Gadi and his crew kept things simple and stuck to our request. Would work with them again."
