Hands-down the best by far has been Willie Ratliff and his company All Things New LLC, recently converting a garage to an office / studio. He, his crew, and all subcontractors did exceptional work, clearly enjoying doing a good job and taking pride in it. When the work started, they were on it five days a week, showing up punctually and staying with it through the day: no other jobs interfered. Then they cleaned up really well every day. I also like that they use high quality tools and know how to operate them. All changes made during the project were noted and recorded on the day they happened, and all invoices and receipts were emailed punctually. All money dealings were straightforward and negotiated in good faith without anything odd. Willie Ratliff is an ethical man.
