"Gary and his team put in a basement powderroom, closet and install two ceiling fans. We couldn't be happier with the price and quality and workmanship. He and his team were proficient, knowledgeable, professional and extremely courteous. They got back to us promptly and were fair in price. We would highly recommend GJP Developers for anything you need done. The Donahue's"

"The project involved extensive repair of two decks, interior painting and baseboard replacement, installation of an interior window and door frame and some minor plumbing. During work in a bathroom a leak into the ceiling was traced to a defective dishwasher above. Repairing the damage and removing the mold was an extensive project. Wally and his crew did this with efficiency and care. Overall the work was of very high quality and was done professionally and carefully. I would hire them again without hesitation."

"I'm pretty picky but Kirstin and her team did a better job of cleaning my place than I ever do. All of the light fixtures were dusted, walls were dusted, kitchen appliances were polished and gleaming and the house looks and smells wonderful. I am beyond happy with the job they did. After looking for a house cleaning service for over 3 years, I've finally found someone I will hire on a regular basis. Thanks Kirstin. You and your team were friendly, efficient and wonderful to work with.

"We needed a basement deep clean and refresh. The team was PHENOMENAL / they organized and deep cleaned the basement. Our basement looked brand new! GREAT job!"
A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.
Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.
Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.
Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
