Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. "We hired Joe to repair and replace the roof of our bookstore which we acquired in 2021 (a Victorian era brick and limestone building, 100+ years old). The roof is a 3000 sq ft flat commercial roof with latex waterproofing which has been patched over the years, but it’s likely been more than 30 years since major repairs were done. In the ensuing years, ice and snow have produced damage, and we saw major leaks by the winter of 2023. This damage was primarily in the boards (under the waterproofing) and ceiling rafters. Where possible, Joe made repairs, but where necessary, he replaced all materials. He added new insulation and new latex waterproofing throughout, He jacked portions of the ceiling rafters and repaired or replaced here as well. It was a huge and difficult job. He did excellent work. We are very happy with his work. As far as we’re concerned, he saved our bookstore."
