"Harry and his team of dedicated professionals were amazing from start to finish. From providing a fast and reasonable quote. The ceilings were 20 feet high in some places and they expertly protected the home and custom built scaffolding. They were always on time and were very respectful of the home and occupants. Even thought he nature of this work is very messy and dusty, they did an excellent job of keeping things livable during the week of disruption. They are the drywall choice in Honolulu!"

"Despite being a one man team, Kurt does and amazing job at getting results fast. He completed our big renovation in our 3000 sq ft home in 6 weeks. He is very professional, respectful, punctual and one of the nicest guys we’ve ever met. He has given us priceless advice and always tried to educate us on the whys and whats of a decision so that we can make a smart choice. We completely renovated our home and although we didn’t do any big structural changes, it is a complete transformation and feels like a different space with the exact Hawaiian modern vibe we were hoping for. We could not have such a beautiful comfortable space if it weren’t for Kurt. He helped us source quality but reasonably priced cabinets, flooring and fixtures as well as acted as general contractor for the plumber, electrician and marble counter installations. All of the subcontractors were professional and did great jobs. Kurt showed up on time as promised every single day, even on weekends, and had a goal and promise of what he would finish that day. It was very satisfying and exciting to see the progress made each day of Kurt’s hard work. Kurt takes a lot of pride in the craftsmanship and quality of his work and he didn’t stop until he knew we were happy with the end product. We can’t praise his work ethics, skills, professionalism and dedication to his clients happiness enough. We are very lucky to have had Kurt work on our house and it was honestly a pleasure having such a positive, supportive and caring contractor to work with. We love our new home and it wouldn’t have been this awesome without Kurt’s guidance and hard work."

"Albin was courteous, excellent attention to details, quality work, cleaned beams, and ceiling fans and did all floors in my home. He brought an excellent assistant with him as well to do the general cleaning while he tackled the ladder and mop/polish work. I have already told my friends and will continue to recommend Albin and Kauai Cleaning & Maintenance for home cleaning."

"Kyle was very professional and friendly. He was able to replace my front door with very little mess and fast. He was also able to do another project of replacing a ceiling fan for a small additional cost. He was knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. I'm planning on using him again for a future bathroom remodel!! Thank you!!"

"My house was really clean they did a really good job I will be recommending them to my friends and family."
A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.
Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.
Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.
Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
