"David did a good job of removing a birds' nest and debris from the vent hose, but in the process, a plywood board in front of the exterior vent area got ripped up and will need to be replaced ($ ?). He was not able to finish the job of getting air flow through the hose, due to there being several bends/joints that he couldn't reach. He said that the hose might be loose at the joints, causing air flow loss, and he could not access the joints without breaking drywall in the ceiling, or there could be other blockages that he wasn't able to see since other sections of the hose were around the bend inside the ceiling. He did not have a scope to look through the hose to get a better picture of the problem, because he said those scopes are too expensive. He gave me a quote to break the drywall to join the hose at the joints. That would cost me an additional $310 (his quote), in addition to the $129 that I already paid. That would not include repairing / replacing broken drywall, repainting the ceiling and who knows what else the job might entail. I was not expecting to pay additional costs such as these at this time, so the job remains unfinished."

"How did it go? I initially thought the walkway would require a compete replacement however Mr. Campbell was prepared to offer several far less expensive options. His team expertly filled-in, patched and painted the entire walkway to the point it looks like new. I am also completely satisfied with the job done repairing both ceilings. "Everything was simply unforgettable! I responded to an ad for Black Friday Special: name your price for the job with no reasonable offer refused! I emailed the company letting them know I wanted some rotten wood replaced on the window dormer and a ceiling repaired and painted. Mike said he would trust what and wanted and the price of $400.00. The carpenter and the painter arrived early. Mike arrived shortly and went over what needed to be done. I had purchased treated lumber so Mike purchased with receipt the correct wood. The carpenter quickly saw that more rotten wood had to be replaced than anticipated. The carpenter had to do wood cutting to frame and restore the dormer as well as insulate, caulk and prime the untreated wood. Needless to say, the handyman special turned out to be a skillful carpentry job. Mike, nevertheless kept the price at $400.00, which also included the plaster repair for the ceiling as well as painting the entire ceiling. I had been told in the past by two contractors that the ceiling job was complicated. Mike and his painter made the job uncomplicated and the result was simply great!"
