"A very professional work of art! We had our existing concrete patio remodeled by adding stone pavers, a seating wall, and landscape. Ben was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and talented in his design and work. He took time and skill to provide landscape that would meet the needs of the area we were working with (sunlight, shading, deer resistance, butterfly attracting, kid/pet-friendly etc.). The project was completed in a timely manner and communication was easy and pleasant. The end product turned out better than imagined as they created a beautiful outdoor space for our family to enjoy. We get so many compliments on the workmanship and design! Ben was fantastic to work with and kindly worked within our budget to exceed our expectations for our outdoor space. We will definitely be working with Prestige Landscape and Design for future projects."

"We had a very large, very long horizontal crack in our wall. Jacob W. was great. He answered all my husbands questions and worked his butt off. Along with Austin H. and Denzel K. The cleaned up everything when the job was done too. I would give them a 10/10 and would recommend them to anyone that needed foundation work done."

"They are professional and thorough, but there is really no wiggle room if you would like something differently done. Choices in booklet are pretty basic, not a lot of options (for flooring types, door style, trim) This company is like the Anderson Windows of basements. (No doubt they spend a lot on advertising; There is a reason they are the top result when searching!) Expect to pay quite a bit more than you planned, but I knew if I chose them it would be done and warrantied for everything. Sometimes you just want to sign and not worry, and I would definitely pick Finished basements plus if you are in that situation and have the budget."

"Dave came out and did the job on time. The crew spent 4 days here which some other companies only spend 1. My concrete is 30 years old and was pitted really bad which they ground it down to level it off. It looks level and better than new. The finish is a grey flux-color with a lot of clear on it. I’ve seen other jobs from other companies but this is by far the best. After the job was done he offered to come by and move my compressor and tools back in. What company would come back after being paid ? Dave and his crew are awesome!"

"Dave did an outstanding job. He was very responsive, quote was extremely reasonable and when he left you wouldn’t even know he was there…other than a new slab in the yard. Highly recommended!!"

"My new retaining wall is great. The work was done smoothly, efficiently and in a timely manner. Chris does what he says he is going to do and does it well."
Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
