"We were remodeling our kitchen and looking for a company to do our countertops. River Stone had the best quote out of the four that we received. We did a little research and decided to go with them. We were very happy we did. They were very accommodating to our needs. They had our countertop ready and installed in one week. Excellent value for the money."

"Artistic Stone and Design did an incredible job from start to finish. From the beginning to the finish project I was totally impressed. All of my questions were answered quickly and with a lot of patience when I couldn't make up my mind about one part of my counter tops. I'm planning to go to them again when I'm ready to upgrade my bathrooms. I whole heartedly recommend them to friends and family family."

"Marteeny installed all of our interior doors, trim, baseboards, etc. They gave us good options and recommendations and the final product has made our home look so much more elegant. The re-sale value will be greatly impacted by their design and attention to detail. I would recommend Marteeny for any project, large or small. They also installed our bathroom tile which looks awesome! Thanks Paul!"

"Scope of project: 1) reset/regrade pavers stones in front walkway and back patio area that were displaced by new driveway and trenches, 2) install drain in low spot connecting to an existing drain, 3) demo a platform of pavers next to the garage to make even with the rest of the patio. I had a wonderful experience hiring Jose with Luna Masonry from beginning to end. I chose him over other bids because he seemed very knowledgeable, easy to communicate with, and well versed in the scope of my project. His estimate also seemed like a fair fee. Jose and crew were able to schedule right away and completed my project in a timely fashion. The end result was very impressive and they cleaned up the work area well. Jose also had some good tips on maintenance. I couldn't be happier. https://photos.app.goo.gl/VKARHX6dfxthL2Ni8"

"The massive double deck at our home was on it’s last legs, literally. After time, all decks reach a point where safety becomes a consideration, and procrastination is not an option. I began my search for a contractor for the project. My bottom line was; I needed to find a contractor that specialized in decking which would be structurally sound and, equally important, built to last for a reasonable amount of time. Naturally, this would depend on the materials selected for the project, as well as budget constraints. I, for one, did not want to sacrifice my precious time laboring on decking maintenance any more than I had to. I researched decking contractor reviews extensively, and one stood out. I contacted Stellar Construction, and subsequently met with Micah, the contractor. It turned out to be a very positive and pressure free experience. Micah reviewed the project, and offered his professional opinion. He spoke with a confidence, sincere and genuine, regarding his approach to decking. He discussed all the options available in regards to materials, as well as the financial aspect of each. The determining factor for me was the quality of his character. I could sense that he truly loved the craft he chose in life, and approached my project with enthusiasm, as if it were a deck he would build for himself. His lead assistant, Ryan, met with us and analyzed the project, discussing all the specifics of the project in detail. He would check for understanding, and answered any and all questions we had. Ryan is outstanding in regards to his knowledge of anything decking. When he states ‘the best way to do this,’ you just know it’s factual. He’s a true and rare craftsman, only seen in a bygone era. His right hand man, Taylor, was also instrumental in the success of the project. It was like having Yoda and Luke Skywalker building my massive deck. Micah, overseeing the project, was in constant communication throughout the project, never failing to respond to my calls. His follow-through, superb organizational skills, and a plethora of decking experiences are truly an asset. His aim is to keep you happy, and for you to feel good about the project you have assigned to him. He sincerely appreciates your business, and projects it through his actions. The end result was spectacular! The workmanship was outstanding and beyond reproach. No unwanted gaps, no warped wood, no unsightly errors. The high level of professionalism, as well as the high level of craftsmanship, contribute to the success of this company. Everything is well thought out, and carried toward perfection. It was a ‘stellar’ job (excuse the pun), that produced a deck worthy of a home magazine cover. I commend Micah, Ryan, Taylor, and their crew for putting their heart into this project."

"From the first outreach, to the quote, and work order modifications during the remodel of our kitchen, Ron was transparent, respectful, and worked closely with us to ensure we understood the constraints and opportunities given our kitchen footprint and wishlist. Our kitchen remodel involved wall demolition, exterior and interior door replacements, as well as full flooring, cabinets, countertops, and appliance installation. Any delays were communicated as soon as they were known and inevitably were due to shipping delays, not the on site work. His subcontractors were friendly and very helpful. We are already planning future projects on the house (our 10 year plan) and looking forward to working with Ron again."

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
