"From start to finish, this was an outstanding experience. Frank and his team ( Ruben, Angel, and Jose) were professional, punctual, hardworking, and paid close attention to every detail. They kept the work area clean, communicated with me throughout the project, and completed the sidewalk exactly as promised. The finished sidewalk looks fantastic—it's level, sturdy, and has a beautiful, clean finish that has really improved the appearance of my property. It's clear they take pride in their craftsmanship, and it shows in the quality of their work. I truly appreciate their honesty, reliability, and dedication to doing the job right. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a company that delivers exceptional workmanship and excellent customer service. Thank you for a job well done!"

"I am thrilled the way our kitchen looks and works after Pasquale at P & D Remodeling resurfaced the cabinets, and the countertop was replaced. He was painstaking in taking measurements and we had no problems whatsoever. He installed the drawers/doors and cabinet surfaces which are top quality immediately upon their arrival. He also installed a crown molding which really gave the kitchen a finished look. He did extra things such as removing a trash compactor that we never used and replacing it with a pull-out garbage container and installing a lazy Susan. After the initial project was complete he didnâÂÂt disappear but made several suggestions (replacing the window trim, resurfacing a bulletin board area, installing a new light) that we agreed to and which really add to the look. All this and his estimate was considerably lower than larger companies."

"These guys did an amazing job. I needed rugs ripped up and replaced with vinyl flooring. They were responsive, hard working, 8 hrs no breaks, they got exactly what I asked for because I have a bird and some materials weren’t appropriate to use so he looked for all the safe products right down to the nails. I highly highly recommend these guys!! One happy customer here!! I’ll be using them again for other projects in the future"

"Lana Construction is one of the best in the Catskills area. My windows are beautiful. They installed two new round windows and a large window for my recreational room. Their bid was not the lowest, but they were terrific to deal with from the beginning - friendly, accessible, respectful, and knowledgeable. I am impressed with the overall performance of the windows in terms of feeling solid, and smooth and how well it blocks outdoor noise. You can be confident in dealing with these guys to get the job done well and on time."

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
