"This is the fourth job I hired them on. Before to fix drawers in the kitchen, cabinet faces, install laminate floors which I had bought material from Lowes. And when the countertops were installed they included a new sink, faucet and grates for the sink. Best price and quality for the price around."

"I needed someone to put two window AC units in place and Thiago has taken care of this for me for three seasons now. He is super and he has a person who helps him with the installation and removal of two units. He always reaches out to schedule time to do this for me and he always notifies me of his arrival time. He is professional, polite, efficient and caring."

"Nauset Kitchen and Bath renovated my small bathroom and did an excellent job. They helped me create more storage and space in my bath by changing the door to a pocket, raising the vanity and installing a medicine cabinet. They helped me by installing my latest “aging in place” project , a bathtub with a door. While all of the workmen were excellent, skilled, prompt, and neat, Philip Reinoso was outstanding! We look forward to the next project."

"Pav(lin) is every homeowners dream contractor! He is professional, personable and demonstrated care & concern for other parts of our home as well as the specific work we hired him to do. Pav removed the wall-to-wall carpeting on our stairway and two bedrooms, installed laminate flooring, stair treads & wrought iron spindles with our existing bannister. He did a fabulous job and were thrilled with the look & results! We enthusiastically recommend Pav to anyone who wants a skilled, meticulous, quality-oriented contractor who takes pride in his work, strives to meet his clients needs and welcomes his clients feedback. We will definitely hire Pav for future projects! "

"I hired US ProPaint and Renovation after meeting JR, discussing my project, and receiving what I thought was a fair and thorough proposal describing the work to be completed in 2 bathrooms. The team that worked in my home was professional, and they arrived on time each day. They were very careful to clean up after themselves each day. JR and his team also made sure, for each key piece of the project, that products were installed as I wanted them and that I was pleased with their progress. The team removed a vanity and granite countertops, installed a new bathroom vanity, installed LVT flooring in 2 bathrooms with transitions to meet the existing wood floors, installed new toilets, and then painted ceilings, doors, trim, and walls. The entire process was excellent and the best experience I’ve had with a company doing renovation work in my home. I’d use US ProPaint again and have recommended them to others."

"From our first meeting we could tell that Boris was a thorough professional and he did not disappoint. He took us through a complicated renovation which included creating an open floor plan, a handicap accessible bathroom, turning a second half bath into a full, and updating an outdated kitchen. Throughout the process Boris was extremely communicative, alerting us to any unexpected changes. He and his team completed the work on time and on budget and results exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend him and look forward to working with him again in the future."

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
