"Excellent work. Phillip's team did a ceramic tile surround, wall repair, tile to carpet transition, and crown moulding. Everything beautifully completed in an incredibly efficient manner. I highly recommend PROFI."

"Clack Companies, Is awesome, They delivered early and laid down wood under dumpster so not even a scratch on driveway. We called and asked if they would pick Dumpster up a few days early as we were done filling it, they showed up the next day! I recommend them for going above and beyond my expectations"

"Our laundry room has been very dysfunctional since the house was built. Our goal was to make it nicer and increase its functionality. We had a designer draw up an improved design that included removing an existing wall cabinet, a sink and a countertop. The design included the stacking of our front-loading washer and dryer, removal of existing cabinetry and countertop and installing a new sink base, countertop, sink and faucet. It also included the installation of a 90 inch high 36 inch wide cabinet and a countertop for folding clothes. In the process we were able to re-purpose the old countertop and wire shelving that includes clothes hanging capabilities. Initially, I had not made the determination as to the nature of the new countertop materials (certainly did not want to use the existing countertop material). I decided to use tile that was left over from the backsplash in our kitchen as the new countertop material. The result was great! Functional and greatly enhanced look."

"They didn't rush us to decide what we wanted, in fact, we changed our minds and went a totally different route. We had an obsolete desk area in the kitchen and as we requested they specially created a cabinet area to hold a beverage fridge and a wine rack. Everyone arrived when they said they would, they asked us daily if we had any questions regarding the progress on the project, and they finished when they said they would. In 7 days we had a brand new kitchen with quartz counter tops with a new sink and faucet."

FAQs for countertop and backsplash service projects in Grandy, MN

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.

With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.

Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.

Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.

It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
