"Tony came out the next day to do a job to cut a granite countertop to widen an opening for a refrigerator. He is a nice guy and very knowledgeable. He was considerate of the mess that this job would make and took every effort to minimize the mess (plus cleaned up after). I would highly recommend and would contact him again for any tile or countertop project."

Customers say: Quick response
"Our undercounter mounted kitchen sink began to dismount this past Sunday. I contacted Angi that afternoon and was contacted by the contractor a little later. He arrived at our home and got right down to business the same day. He was courteous and had obviously performed this type of repair before. 5 stars out of 5!"

"DJ’s custom cabinets were amazing to work with! Don was very timely and responsive with communication, explained everything clearly, and did his best to work with our timeline. A few things came up along the way and Don was very quick to help us find solutions. A few weeks after the cabinets were installed, we realized a shelf was missing. We had painters scheduled for the next morning. Don answered my message immediately and had the shelf built and delivered it to us within a few hours! He is honest and trustworthy. The cabinets are absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t be happier with it! Our dream kitchen! We will definitely be calling Don again for future projects!"

"We wanted a 10' x 20' patio installed but were not sure what materials to use. The area needed leveling and there was a slope to contend with. Aaron gave pros & cons of using pavers/crushed granite vs flagstone/mortar; no hard sell for either one. He explained we would need a small retaining wall on one side of patio to deal with sloping yard. We went with flagstone/mortar as it would match existing retaining wall and steps. Aaron provided an itemized proposal and placed us on his schedule. Communication was excellent throughout the process. Once started, they were finished in a week. Clean-up was outstanding. The workmanship is second to none. Patio is perfectly level, drainage is exceptional, and the flagstone is beautifully placed. We are so fortunate to have found Tecton Stoneworks on Angi. Highly recommend this company!"

"Sandy Rogers (Landscape Designer) came over for the initial consultation to evaluate our needs. After walking the property and listening to what our thoughts were, she sat down with us and we had a thorough conversation regarding all of the possible designs that would be appropriate for our house and yard. Lon Pinckard, Sandy and crew arrived and completed the work the same day. They did a marvelous job and even came out for several follow-up visits. Great work for a fair price. I highly recommend them!

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
