"My beautiful dark blue corian countertop had a bad burn area approx. 10" x 10" in size. Joe removed and replaced the really bad portion of the burn and sanded out the not so bad part. When he finished the polishing it looked like new. I was totally impressed with his work and would not hesitate to use his company again. Also, very neat with good clean up. Definitely 5-Star overall. I could not be more pleased with the repair."

"West Shore Home replaced our original windows with triple paned slider windows in 2019. On April 28, 2021, I pulled the window too far down and out of shoe slide when cleaning and could not get it fitted correctly into the frame. West Shore came for service in 2 days, the tech Dash Hawkins was courteous, succinct in his explanation on how to properly disengage the lower window for cleaning and explained several other features about these windows. He referenced the serial Number label attached on all parts of the window, which designated the exact part that would be needed to be replaced and ordered. This can be done without a trip to the house and expedites the repair and time and simplifies my life. I am amazed at how well the company has marketed this product, trained their personnel and how efficient and pleasant they are to work with. I love my windows! This was all performed with facemasks during the Covid-19 pandemic. Safety precautions were utilized in my home and greatly appreciated."

"We are absolutely LOVING our deck. Paul and his team repaired an existing deck and built a new bottom deck for our home. We have two small children and we live very close to the water. We needed a safe space for our kids to play and Paul delivered! The deck is beautiful and very well built. The entire process from estimate to completion was easy and straightforward. His team was professional, timely, and very skillful. They designed three locking gates for us and customized the design for our needs. This project was well worth the cost and we would recommend this company to anyone considering a deck project."

"Jim, a master carpenter, arrived at agreed time and was able to repair a damaged kitchen island countertop so it looks great. Also fixed rickety chairs, two drawer slides, loose bathroom tiles and installed several carpet transitions strips. All done in a professional manner. Countertop repair took some real brainstorming and Jim came up with a great fix, avoiding replacement of a top that couldn’t be matched."

"Our experience with this company was great. I have already recommended them to some friends. They were efficient, cleaned up their own messes, and were friendly. We really like Chris, the salesman. We will definitely contact them when we need them. Our windows are great, too."

"He laid some flooring, replaced baseboards and a door frame and did a great job!!"
Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
