"Our 20 year old kitchen was in need of an update and, based on reviews, we contracted with John Dolan. We could not be happier. Caroline guided us through the design process, including selecting the quartz for the counters and tiles for the backsplash. She also anticipated the need to do some minor modifications on our existing cabinets to accommodate our new appliances. Once our choices were made, Lorraine handled the ordering and scheduling and all went as planned.
The entire job took three days. On the first day they removed the old countertop, sink, faucet, disposal and tile backsplash, disconnected our old appliances, and did the cabinet modifications On the second day the quartz counter top and appliances were installed along with the plumbing to connect the new sink and disposal. On the final day the new tile backsplash was installed.
Caroline, Lorraine and all of the workers involved in this project were knowledgeable, professional and courteous. It was a pleasure dealing with a company that coordinated the entire project in such a seamless manner. We could not be more pleased with the entire process and the finished result. It is understandable why they have earned and deserve such consistently high ratings!

"We engaged Bob Phalan of Phalan Construction to do a number of small to medium size projects in our home, including: building and installing stairs from the kitchen to garage, building/ finishing/ installing a stair handrail, building/ finishing/ installing doors for an existing kitchen cabinet, repairing 2 sinking decks, getting rid of squeaks in the floor, leveling a number of doors. Bob does excellent work, he really knows his stuff and is a master craftsman in all kinds of home projects, especially carpentry. We highly recommend Phalan Construction for many of your home repair/improvement projects! We definitely plan to use Phalan Construction for future projects."

"First the positive: Ron has a good eye for design - and makes very good suggestions - he thinks things through about how one would really use the space, and what things you need to really enjoy the space.
This crew is very professional and punctual - they worked tirelessly to get the job done VERY quickly.
Bluestone patio looks great.
The small nit is that the construction did create a ton of brown spots in the yard and although he put a few strips of new turf around the worst parts of the patio and we watered regularly, there are places where it simply hasn't come back at all - it's dead and brown...so I wish he and his crew had made more effort to take care of the yard where the patio wasn't going in, or helped fix the dead spots...
Also I think the wire from the rainsensor to the sprinkler controller got snipped, as it no longer works - but I don't know if that was a result of the work or not.
