"I highly recommend this company for granite repair. They promptly responded to my request and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. They arrived on time, were extremely professional, and repaired my granite countertop so flawlessly that you can’t even tell where the crack had been. The pricing was very reasonable, and the quality of the workmanship was pristine. Reliable, skilled, and highly professional from start to finish."

"Phenomenal experience!!! It was so easy and they were very efficient, professional and knowledgeable! They made this experience very stressful free! Their prices were fantastic. We are updating our kitchen to get ready to sell and we didn't want to break the bank. We had found a color we liked but it was very expensive. They helped us find a much more affordable countertop that looked practically the exact same, but half the price. We will definitely use them again for when we update the bathrooms! Thank you Stone Age Granite and Marble!!!"

"William, Carl and thier crew are first rate. The quality of thier work is incredible. They are accomodating, professional, and are very fair with their pricing. The construction quality was so good on my bungalo that was built a year and a half ago, I decided to have the patio enclosed as well which was recently completed. I have braging rights in my neighborhood now. Very soon they will be replacing all th exterior of my home with "Hardywood" and painting. Please include these folks a try with you bidding process.I am very happy I found them. Joseph S."

"I had a leak from my AC unit onto the ceiling of my bathroom while my wife was out of town. Caused the drywall to collapse. I reached out to 5 companies listed on the BBB site. CQS was the only company to respond. Then Edger came out, took a look, had his drywall guy come out, and gave me a very reasonable quote. They came in and fixed it so well, that when my wife returned home, she couldn't tell anything was different. I have several other projects I am likely to use CQS going forward!"

"I met with a number of contractors before the start of my master bath remodeling project, and I am so grateful that I selected Ace Remodeling to do the job. In addition to Rose, a terrific project manager, it was such a pleasure to work with Shawn, a pleasant and talented guy who was always on the job and could do just about anything, his mom Alma, who was an amazing tile setter, the plumber, painter, and carpenter - all careful and expert tradesman who had outstanding work ethics and were dedicated to their tasks - and carefully cleaned up as quickly and thoroughly as possible each day! I’m extremely proud of the end result and they can be as well. So if you’re looking for a reliable and dedicated remodeling crew I strongly recommend you consider Ace Remodeling - and ask for Rose and the crew that I was fortunate to have on my project. I wish you luck."

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
