"This includes installing 6 floor jacks to level house floor with annual inspections. House is a raised foundation so full encapsulation to prevent mold, mildew from damaging wood and pipe erosion. This enhanced our already Blacklight airconditioning protection and Pelican water softner and Black Light water disinfection. The sales rep Josh and the crew of Dustin, Adam and Garrett were highly trained and proficient. I would do more if it was needed. Their office folks were kind and courteous. Bravo to all of them. Being a disabled Veteran it nice to have folks who work hard and enjoy their job like i did 21 years in the Air Force. Thank You again. Sincerely Sgt John W Thurston; USAF; Honorably Retired"

"Martinez Wood Floors was AMAZING. Hector, the owner, personally came to the initial inspection/estimate and throughout the entire time was accessible, professional and responsive. I shopped and compared various prices and Hector was very affordable in comparison to the rest of the companies i interviewed. AND his work is INCREDIBLE. My floors, despite being 70 years old, LOOK NEW! Certain planks that had to be removed and replaced due to stain or deterioration were done with exacting precision and match the existing floor. I was amazed by the level of craftsmanship and expertise exercised by all of Hector's team. They are truly artists. I have recommended them to various friends because of the high quality of work they delivered. I would use them again anytime for any of my wood floor needs. Simply awesome."

"The windows and doors are wonderful. However the project took longer than promised.
I will say, the company does beautiful work with regard to installation and sealing of windows, doors and overall craftsmanship.. I've seen what other companies have done to neighbors houses and the work was sloppy and they actually damaged the house. That wasn't the case here!
I did have a few problems with our sales person Cary. I then I started dealing with Monica, the Operations Director, who got things done right and in a timely fashion..
Actually Cary, the windows which had to be changed at your cost of 1200 were windows that you ordered incorrectly and and were not the windows ordered according to the contract, so yes, I required the correct windows be installed."

"Brian was excited to design and build a custom unit for our home. Our design ideas were a bit random, but Brian was able to pull it all together and give us exactly what we wanted. His staff was professional and very helpful throughout the process and the quality of the work is stellar. I would recommend Casework Specialities to anyone considering a custom built-in of any kind.

"Sal, the owner, responded quickly to our request for an assessment and estimate. He came to our home within 48 hours and provided his professional opinion and the cost. He scheduled us quickly and even pressure washed the walls of our lanai at no extra charge. Sal showed up at our door promptly as scheduled. His price was reasonable and he worked VERY quickly but thoroughly. We are very pleased with his work and decided to hire him for other projects."

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
