"Contractor provided excellent consultation on the type of upgrades and improvements we wanted to make during our project. Jeff was excellent at suggesting improvements to our bathroom shower, entrance and new vanity and cabinets. He offered excellent contractors that we used for new granite countertops for kitchen and bath areas. He also met us at Floor and Decor store and assisted our selection of new bathroom tile and flooring that was used to replace our ugly old carpet in our living room, dining room and hallway areas. Contractor coordinated scheduling of tile, cabinet, plumbing and countertop installations with all sub contractors selected for our project. We are extremely happy with the results of their work!"

"Our experience with Dreamstone Countertops was fantastic. Andres made sure the project ran smoothly from start to finish. We were very pleased with how something as simple as changing our counters changed the ambiance of our home. Should the need arise, we’d definitely hire them again."

"Finally I have my pergola. Although it took much longer than anticipated. Rollshield made it happen. The wait is worth it. I went with the Renaissance covered pergola in a bronze finish and it looks amazing. Rollshield coordinated everything, engineering, designs ,permits and installation - one stop shop! The crew is very efficient. My guests are already asking me where and who built this for me! Its a very good product and Greg the owner is very reasonable with his pricing! I totally recommend this company! Thank you Rollshield Team - I love my roof deck!"

"I had two bathrooms renovated. Javier and his team did a fantastic job! I invited several constructors to my house and talked with them about my projects. Javier looks most outstanding among them - unlike other constructors who felt I had too much requirements, Javier was very confident to take my projects with many challenges. The price is also reasonable. His team worked efficiently. Javier is professional and responsible. He gave suggestions to make our projects even more perfect. I couldn't thank enough for their hard working. I highly recommend Ateam for home renovation. They are the right people I'm looking for to make dreams come true."

"Kevin was great to work with. He provided us with a very detailed quote of what he and his contractors would be doing. He and our cabinet people met with us multiple times prior to construction to make sure we were all on the same page. Kevin was easy to work with throughout the process. He always responds to any questions or concerns quickly. He was accurate with his time frame of 5-6 weeks and the job was completed just as he promised. We spent 34k with South Shore for the construction and actual remodel. Cabinets, countertops and flooring material were a separate cost."

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
