"We are extremely pleased with our recent remodeling. Martin and his team (Dan and Tim) were super nice to work with, very patient, responsive, courteous and accommodating, plus they made very helpful professional suggestions on the design, color, and materials. They remodeled our kitchen (cabinets, lighting fixtures, wall painting) and 2 bathrooms. The quality of their painting, tiling, cabinetwork, structural work, and craftsmanship in general, was outstanding. They were obviously motivated to do the best job possible. I recommend them very highly."

"I love the sunroom,as does my Snickers who spends most of her time looking out the beautiful big window. It has made the sunroom the most impressive, comfortable, and beautiful part of this apartment. I’m a big plant lover so I have 3 walls (which, of course are windows) lined with plants. Each side gives enough sunlight to make them grow. They even made a carport underneath the sunroom, no space was wasted. I would recommend ThermalShield to anyone wanting a sunroom or windows. They do a terrific job!"

"DDR built a second floor covered deck on the back of our home, with a carport beneath the deck and an extended driveway. Our Project Manager, Nate, responded to all our questions and personally attended to all our requests, no matter how insignificant, so that the end result truly exceeded our expectations. We have been wanting to do this for 20 years, and now we will be able to enjoy it for years to come! Thanks, Nate and DDR!"

"I definitely recommend Bill, Dylan, and crew for any work that you need done. They are highly skilled, trustworthy, and reasonably priced. They will spend time with you determining the best options for your project that fit within your budget. Bill and Dylan took out my deck style front porch and added a covered front porch on my 1897 home. They took care to match the style of the porch to the style of the house while staying within my budget. There are pictures of this house back to the 50's where there was no covered porch, but the porch they added looks like it has always been part of the house. The workmanship was excellent, and they took care to keep the work area neat. They also repaired rotten sections of my box / hidden gutters around my entire house. There was significant damage, and this was a large undertaking. I am very happy with the end result and feel comfortable that I will not have to worry about issues with the gutters for many years. Bill, Dylan, and crew have done additional work for me including lowering the height of my non-working chimney and re-mortaring the remaining section, repairing trim on the house that had been chewed up by carpenter bees, and replacing my bathroom vanity. All of their work has been great! I will continue to use them for all of my future projects."

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
