"The project was to replace my tub shower with a new barrier free shower system, folding shower chair and a toilet grab bar. Oakleyâ s professional team assessed all safety areas of my home, worked on our tight schedule for the completion and over delivered on the installation. I highly recommend their business and canâ t wait for my dad to shower safely in our home. Great experience from start to finish!!"

"Buckland came out to survey the job, sat with me to explain what would be done, and how - and what materials they would use. Then they came on time the day the said they would; their workmanship was top-notch, and professionally completed on a timely basis all for a very reasonable price. I would absolutely use Buckland again for any household/home repair work."

"Chris and his team that he works with went above and beyond to make sure that our project was held to an incredibly high standard. Chris’s ability to handle multiple happenings while communicating often and effectively was impressive to see. He constantly made us feel like we were the priority and his work ethic never waned. We were very proud to support this small business versus a larger box business. If you’re looking for a top notch basement remodel from an extremely personable and dedicated individual you’ll be doing yourself a disservice by not contacting Chris Manganello at Dynamic Basement Systems! We will be recommending this business to anyone! -Doug Rohner"

"Their remodeling crew was great. The bathroom was essentially gutted including the old cast iron tub. They installed a new sub-floor, new acrylic shower, vanity with countertop, vessel sink, flooring, toilet and wall cabinet The bathroom was on the 2nd floor so everything was up and down the stairs. The crew were very hard workers and did a great job. They cleaned up all debris. I have no complaints and would highly recommend them to anyone."

"George is the best handyman we have found to date. He is punctual, professional and responsive. My only complaint is that he is so busy you have to schedule him months in advance. He painted all of our downstairs and did a wonderful job. We also have plans for taking out a wall or two so he took the time to discuss what our options would be and how we would want to do it. I appreciated his honesty on what would cost more or be complicated. I appreciated his forthrightness."

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
