"Mr. Backsplash did a wonderful job. Everything looks beautiful and just how I had imagined. They cleaned up after themselves and were pleasant to work with. I really appreciate that they took my job for less than their usual minimum amount. It’s hard to get Contractors out for small jobs, but they came out and did a great job! Highly recommend!"

"After years of dreaming and researching other sunroom companies to replace our 1969 screened sunroom with an upscale extended sunroom, Temo presented the product, quality and expectations we had in mind. Rob, the salesman worked thoroughly to draft a proposal of our expectations. Within days, we met with Jim and Dale to review the installer layout sketch, take final measurements and discuss any concerns/issues of both parties.
Later than night, my husband and I changed our mind about some details. Temo worked smoothly with us as we changed our minds (twice) and transitioned from a Hybrid 3 season (single paned window) sunroom to an Ultimate extended season (double paned window with glass transoms and other upgrades) sunroom with additional upgrades: ceiling fan, electrical outlets, doorwall and another entry door. Immediately, Jim returned with the revised plans for our approval and proceeded to get the necessary permits. The permits were approved immediately since their plans were so detailed.
The work crew (father and son) were efficient, conscientious, thorough in their workmanship. I was and remain so impressed with how they smoothed the transition of joining the cathedral roof line onto the house, both externally and internally. The shingles perfectly match and blend with the regular roof. The cathedral ceiling and interior of the room blend perfectly against the side of the house. Additionally they were thoughtful and considerate of our needs and expectations.
Both Jim and Dale were on site during many stages of the process and oversaw any issues immediately. They facilitated a wonderful work crew and electrician.
Temo exceeded my expectations! They deserve an A+ rating with both the Better Business Bureau and Angie’s List.
Everyday, I smile as I walk by my new sunroom!
Thank you, Rob, Jim, Dale, work crew and electrician!

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
