"This is our second very positive experience with C.F.I. Home Improvement. Mr. Misael Omana is
highly-skilled and a perfectionist in every aspect of the work he does. Both he and his colleague were very
knowledgeable and extremely professional, and both worked long hours to create a stunning floor adjacent to our stone hearth and fireplace. Mr. Omana came up with creative solutions for the irregular shape of the floor. Communication with Mr. Omana was always cordial and helpful. We appreciate having the confidence that no corners will be cut, the job will be done as scheduled and the finished product will definitely meet our expectations.

"We used Lux to install an Owens-Corning system in an unfinished basement. The project turned out beautifully and is very custom to our space- half carpeted, half flooring. Dan was very communicative and quickly took care of some finishing details that are the icing on the cake. It's amazing to be able to reclaim previously unused space and turn it into a heated, well-used room! While we aren't fans of Owens-Corning sales tactics, we went into it knowing what to expect and were able to get the price down to the ballpark that we were expecting, with a return on investment that is 100% worth it."

"The Basic Bathroom and Basic Basement Company did a fantastic job. We needed to redo kitchen and bathroom in our rental apartment.
It was a very pleasant experience from our first meeting with Dominick Natoli. He came on time, his estimate was very reasonable and workers started right on schedule.
Everything was very well organized and coordinated. Kitchen cabinets and granite countertop were included in an estimate. Dominick came to our home with the samples and even the basic selection presented many good choices.
Since it is a rental and our home is 30 min away, I could not visit every day and see for myself what is happening. Gail called me with information and updates who is scheduled to work and when ( plumber, electrician, etc.)
Tiles in a bathroom were installed in the pattern I proposed and it looks great, same for kitchen cabinets, backsplash, everything!
All work was completed in 3 weeks just as Dominick had promised.
All around a very good experience!

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
