And, was able to start quickly. Final project had an integral bench, railings, and lights. Project was complete in five days. Looks beautiful. "Everyone at Solar Shield was very nice and professional. We had a few concerns when the moisture barrier was installed and we still had rain in our bedroom. Frank got it corrected the next day, and finished the roof the following week. The good news: very nice looking roof with no more leaks. The bad news: we got pictures of the hurricane straps installed and had the roof inspected by our insurance company. They found that the hurricane straps installed were not up to their standards and neither was the moisture barrier. They also found multiple slats (we didn’t have decking that covered the whole roof - old house) that were split and compromised during the work, so we were unable to qualify for any insurance discounts. Overall, we have a nice looking roof - top of the line from Solar Shield Industries. Hopefully, it will last a lifetime. But unfortunately, we have some decking remediation that needs to be done and we still need hurricane straps, which will probably be clips now. Not a big enough deal for me to raise a stink. I can retro clips and repair the few decking issues from the attic & under siding. And apparently, the moisture barrier is just not what the insurance company accepts as a “moisture barrier.”"

All the estimates were in the same $ range but what set Scott apart from the others was he took pictures of the problems on the roof. He took the time to tell me exactly what was wrong, what the damage was and how he was going to fix it. I was hesitant at first because he said he was new to the area, but I’m glad I hired him. Was always on time and a pleasure to deal with. I will be adding a 400 sq ft deck on my house soon and he will be the first and probably only one I call to do the job."
